My family of 4 adults and one toddler went to eat here on a Sunday at 1130. We arrived expecting to wait for a table as it was a Sunday. We were met at the door and told to expect a 20-25 minute wait time for a table, which we happily agreed to wait. Around the 30 minute mark after putting our name down, we noticed two tables of 5 had arrived and sat before us. I went in and asked if they could provide an update on our wait time as it had been longer than expected and others arriving behind us the same party size had already been sat. They informed me they were unable to read the name, but now they would sit our table next. We waited another 30 minutes, to be an hour total since our arrival, and numerous tables of 4 and under had been sat and 4 other larger parties of 5 and 6 were also sat. We went and asked an additional time and they told my sister in law the same story. We would be sat next. A few minutes later they sat another table of 5 ahead of us. When we approached the hostess stand to speak to a manager after a 70 minute wait, she informed us, rudely, that wait times are approximate. Somehow instantly they had a table they could sit us, but we had waited so long that we decided to leave. The manager sarcastically and rudely shouted, "have a nice Sunday".
It is largely apparent the staff at this location takes on the management's opinion and outlook on customer service. The incredibly sad part about this all is we've eat at this location and the Winston location without issues in the past. It was obvious they were intentionally causing a further delay on seating us and then attempting to provoke a response when the one the manager anticipated didn't occur. When people were walking directly from the parking lot to a table and we were the only ones waiting, it wasn't an...
Read moreThe Breakfastime Clemmons Experience ( Dine-In Edition). I rarely eat breakfast but took time off for my birthday week and decide to treat myself. Now I usually visit the Breakfastime Hanes Mall Blvd location, but I sometimes feel like I'm sitting shoulder to shoulder with other patrons. Nevertheless, Christian came to the table with the biggest smile and introduced herself as my waitress. Sometimes smiling is infectious because it made me smile as well. She told me she would provide me good service, and she did not lie.
I ordered their Breakfast Special # 2 that comes with eggs, bacon, choice of grits, gravy, home fries, or hashbrowns, with a choice of toast (white or wheat) or a biscuit. I ordered home fries with onions, grits, and toast. I went to their restroom to wash my hands, and it did appear clean. I typically dine alone with headphones to enjoy music, videos, or a podcast and really like my personal time to enjoy my meal, experience, and silent service. Christian picked up on cues, and I felt like she anticipated my needs before I even spoke them. I would return to the Breakfastime Clemmons location in hopes of having Christian as my...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning as a party of five and were quoted a 20-minute wait. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I understand wait times are estimates. However, during our wait, three other parties of five and several smaller groups who arrived after us were seated before we were.
When we checked with the host, we were told they hadn’t called our party because they couldn’t read the name written on the list. Even after clarifying, we continued to wait without being seated, only to watch a party of six get called ahead of us. At this point, we had been waiting for an hour for a table.
We went inside and asked to speak with the manager, who was not only unapologetic but also quite rude. Unfortunately, this experience left us very disappointed, and we will not...
