Will rip you off then call police on you for no reason. The most disrespectful experience ever. I drive a truck for a living and after a very long 14 hour work day in 95 degree heat wave I arrived to super 8. I looked online and booked the reservation at 11:50 pm. I realized I did not have my card and went back to my truck a few minutes later to complete the booking. Because the time rolled to 12 am while i was booking (originally said the 10th) the hotel states their policy is i cant check in til 3 pm and ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS FROM THE MANAGER. I offered to pay extra, and was only needing the hotel for 10 hours. The management and receptionist decided it was best to leave me with no place to stay stranded on the side of the road. When i called priceline to sort this out they told me it was up to the hotel to allow a change, which they denied purposely trying to double charge me for their clerical error. The hotel decided it would be best to tell priceline they deny the refund and i have to pay for 2 nights and then called the police on me because i told them they are disgusting and be ashamed of themselves.
Worst customer service and abusive policy enforcement practices ive dealt with this whole year.
I will probably never stay at a super 8 again and considering never staying at any wyndham property despite i have spent tens of thousands in the past at windham props ever since growing up in a resort town with a huge windham resort for over a decade. Disgusting shady business practices. Then call police on you to rob you for your money instead of letting someone change the reservation to the same day they booked it. Regardless after 12 it should be understood most people are looking for a room that night between hours of 12-2 am however i started booking this 11:50 and only entered my card...
Read moreWe had reservations for two rooms Oct 11th through Oct 14th for our Granddaughter wedding. I had to have an infusion for my arthritis Tuesday, Oct 9th, for two days afterward I’m not in great shape plus we had a hurricane moving from Florida through Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. We knew the storm would likely move through our driving area on the 11th plus my health issues. We decided early Wednesday, 10th, that we would cancel one of the rooms for Oct 11th well ahead of the 24 hours cancellation policy.
This is where the problem started, my Wife talked to the hotel and was told they could not touch reservation since I had booked with Expedia ! I called Expedia and was told they could not cancel one night! I ask to speak with a supervisor to explain my situation, the supervisor said all rooms were booked and they could not resale that room.she offered to call hotel and speak with the mgr.she called me back and told me she spoke with manger and I had two choices, cancel the one night but I would have to pay .She gave me the name of the manager and I could call him.! I called the hotel and a man answered, I ask to speak with Harry and he proceeded to question why I needed to talk with him, finally he told me he was Harry, he told me I had two choices cancel one night and pay or cancel all the booking! He would e mail me a form to supply my credit card info and copy of card and drivers license. I explained I did not have a printer ,his response was “that is your problem” I was shocked that this was the attitude of a business! I found another hotel and cancelled our complete stay.
I worked in a hospital for 36 years and I can tell you if we had treated our customers In this manner we would have not...
Read moreI stayed at this location on Saturday, October 14, 2023. We were traveling back from the mountains, and everything was either booked or outrageously expensive at all the other motels/hotels we were finding. So, I stumbled upon this property. I was shocked and delighted to find a room for less than $200 for the night. So, we snapped it up. A non-smoking room with two queen beds, and we were set for the night. I was pleasantly surprised when we came rolling up to this location and saw how nice it looked. We were assigned to a nice room on the ground floor. The room was fairly large, clean, and decent. We only had two minor issues. One could have been a major concern had we not been paying attention. the room was a little chilly when we walked in. We turned on the heat on the in-room heat/air unit. Almost immediately, a spark was thrown from the vent. This was a little worrying, but didn't happen again. The room did smell like something burning for a bit after though. And the other negative was the location. Yes, this motel is located very conveniently to all kinds of stores, restaurants, and attractions and major highways. But, this meant the area is extremely busy!! With lots of traffic and noise. ALL NIGHT!!! Ambulance sirens, loud vehicles, etc, etc. You heard it all night long!!! If you are a light sleeper, or easily kept awake by noise, you need ear plugs or a white noise source to drown it all out. But, overall, the staff was extremely friendly, the room was decent, and the price was fair. The beds were hard though. I would stay here again if I were in the area in need of accommodation. It's a decent older motel that has been recently renovated, and it's a decent...
