This place was great! We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We ordered a large 22" house pizza, with one side having banana peppers instead of mushrooms. One substitution on the pizza is free. I also wanted some pasta. So I ordered a kids fettuccine Alfredo. It was so good! So good in fact that my husband wanted an order of it too! So when our server came by to check on us, we ordered another one for him. Then our pizza came and it was delicious. The crust was perfect, crispy on the outside but soft inside. A perfect brick oven pizza. The green peppers made it a little juicy, but that was okay. The tea was delicious too. Our server was awesome! She was very helpful and sweet and our drinks never ran out! Even brought more ice. And she remembered I got Unsweet tea, which can sometimes be forgotten. We took all but three pieces we ate there home with us, which will be dinner tonight. Overall, a very good price for the delicious food and excellent service. Bathrooms were nice and clean as well. I highly recommend this place and will make sure to go back any time I have a hankering for pizza and pasta! And make sure when you visit, you check out the mural on the back wall too!

My family and I have been going to The Brick Oven since its inception In 1995 when I was just a little kid. Admittedly I just always thought it was “Ok” to “Pretty good“ growing up but my food tastes hadn’t really developed at that time. Being older, I’ve really grown an appreciation for Italian over the years. I haven’t really been to this place in several years since lots of new Italian places have popped up in the clemmons/ Winston area. We decided to get lunch the other day and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was after all these years. My mom got the manicotti with an Italian meatball and she said it was delicious. I got the chicken piccata and it was honestly some of best piccata I’ve eaten at any Italian restaurant. I love a good Peroni (a really good Italian beer) and they have that now too. The garlic bread was fresh and tasted great and the server was such a kind and sweet lady. Something I miss from restaurants these days is when the server actually seems to be proud of the food and she was. We will absolutely be back again with the family soon.

We live in Boone and have visited here several times. Great experience every time. On our most recent visit, our server Whitney said she had previously been a restaurant manager (at a different restaurant) and her server skills showed it! She was very helpful in menu suggestions. The restaurant was quite busy, and yet somehow she kept all tables served and drinks filled. Food is amazing. So many choices. My husband ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce plus meatballs, and I had the baked ziti. Yum! Great sauces! We also ordered a pizza to take home for the rest of the family (along with our leftovers!). Highly recommend eating here. Vegetarian options are plentiful. Vegan options if selecting the marinara sauce. Didn’t try any of the beers today since it was a little early in the day 🍺

Tonight, my husband, daugher, and I went to The Brick Oven Pizzaria in Clemmons. After a wonderful dinner with great food and service, my daughter and I went to the car. Unfortunately, someone was parked over the line, so close that I could not get in my car without damaging theirs. My daughter went to the hostess and asked if she could find the owner. She was not interested in assisting us. My daughter said that she would do it, if the hostess wouldn't. The hostess told her, and I quote, "Go for it." When the owner was located, he was rude and mean to her, insisting that he was in the lines. When he got outside and saw his parking job, do you think he apologized? LOLOL, Nah... I then told him that I didn't wish to damage his car, even though he was over the line. He thanked me for that and got into his car to move it. We started getting in our car, and this is where it should end, right?!?!?

Nope. The manager (who evidently is the owner) comes out and gets in my daughter's space, yelling and screaming at her, verbally assaulting her, in my presence. Of course, I stepped up. He continued to yell at me, stating that it wasn't her place to find the driver. (On this, we agree.) He then YELLED that she should have asked for the the manager. This is where we part ways. I told him that she went to his hostess, who is his front line, as she should have. It was the hostess's job to get the manager if she was uncomfortable. If he is unhappy with the situation, he needs to train his staff, not yell at the customers who have to take care of themselves in his establishment. My daughter went to talk to the hostess, and the owner started chasing her across the parking lot, screaming at her. I touched his shoulder and told him to stop. (I did touch him, lightly. I wanted to tackle him and show him what happens when a man thinks it is okay to chase and yell at my baby girl. But, I touched his shoulder instead. He should thank me for my restraint.) This is not where it ends, his screaming and vebal assault on both of us continued. I will stop with the details at this point because I am sure that you underatand.

The treatment that we received at the hands of this manager/owner was atrocious. I have truly never been treated in this manner. I hope that if he has a wife and daughter, they never encounter a business owner who feels riteous enough to step into their space and verbally assault them.

If you are looking for a great meal and wonderful service, this is the restaurant. If you want to know that you will be safe at the hands of the owner/manager, please try somewhere else. This must be an option in this...

Prices are up... this 10 inch cauliflower crust pizza i made to order was over 20 dollars! The meat on the pizza also tasted funny. I didn't complain out of fear that my cries would go unanswered and the server would get a lashing! The owners here don't play! They are cheap and hostile! I once new a great server who worked here that they totally used and took advantage of! She would buy things for the restaurant that they needed with her own money and never get reimbursed! They charge the servers who work her over a dollar a shift incase they break any dishes! Servers are under strict orders to ration the napkins so if a customer ask for extra they might get 1. God forbid any server who brings a complaint from a customer to one of the owners! George will scream and cuss at them for having the audacity to even mention it! On top of the verbal assault nothing will be done to compensate the customer in any way! I knew a server who waited on guests of the owners. The owners told her they would comp their guests food before she checked out. An owner actually accompanied the server to a computer where he pretended to erase the guests food. At the end of the night the server realized that the owners guests were still on one of her checks and she would be the one responsible for paying the tab!! Luckily she new the manager code and comped it off herself! There was also a mysterious computer glitch on a few occasions that took many different servers money by saying they owed the restaurant far more than they actually did. When the owners " found out" about the glitch they never even attempted to give any of the servers their money back! Its a place of agonizing misery for the poor wait staff who work there! I just can't imagine taking advantage of your wait staff when they work so hard to run your establishment! It's awful! Karma though.....its real! Im honestly surprised they are still open!

Also one of the owners likes the young ladies so beware of letting your...

"You still have to pay for the pizza"

We went to The Brick Oven last night as we have so many nights before. The place was packed and was on a short wait. We were seated and our waitress came to the table. Didn't catch her name. Braids with I think green in them. Never had her wait on us before. We asked what ipas they had on draft. We were told they had Jade and Voodoo Ranger. Ordered a pitcher of Jade. We also put in an order for our normal. Medium vegetarian pizza sub banana peppers for the broccoli. We have put this order in many times with many different servers. She quickly told us in a snarky tone that it would be an upcharge because it was against the rules. We said that we never had a problem before, many times. She sort of laughed, insinuated we were lying, said they probably all got in trouble. On and on about how were wrong. Whatever then. No broccoli. Five minutes later she came back and said the Jade keg was "kicked". Would we like Bud LIght, Blue Moon, or Red Oak? No. What about the Ranger. She then said the gas lines for those two kegs were messed up. Would we like something else? I told her we would just go somewhere else instead. We stood up to leave and she then told us, and I still can't get over this, "You still have to pay for the pizza". The pizza that would not even be put in the oven for at least another half hour. Seriously? She was. I told her we would not. We walked out and she decided to follow us to the door. It was a bad night at the Brick Oven. The worst service we have ever had at any restaurant. We won't be back. Ever. You aren't the only pizza place in town. As I read the reviews before me, I see we aren't...
