I work with a food delivery company. I'm always early ot the restaurants. It's just how it is. Why be late? When I get to the restaurants, I let them know why I'm there, if the food is not ready, they ask me to please wait and I do. No problem at all. I don't mind cause I know I like to get there early.
The other night, I get to Illiano's for a delivery and one of the workers (owner or not, I don't know), turns his head to another worker and complains about how fast I got there. This dude already seemed like he was in a bad mood and is probably the reason for most of the bad customer reviews about this place already.
He looks at me and in the rudest of tones says "Sit. Wait." and goes on about his business. When the food finishes, he sits it on the counter, says nothing and angrily pushes the buttons on the screen to complete the order. I simply say "Thank you, sir. Have a great day". His response of "you too" was almost like it was forced out of him - like he didn't want to do it, but figured it was mandatory or something.
I mean, as someone who delivers food, getting there before the food is finished is a plus for both the restaurant and the customer. That guarantees that, unless anything happens along the way, the food will get there as hot and as fresh as possible, under the circumstances.
Because of this person, I will decline all offers I receive to deliver food from here. I won't step back in this restaurant. Which means that someone further away will get the orders and there's a possibility of the customer getting the food cold. Which could, in turn, lead to them not wanting to order from here again.
If this person is an employee and is the cause of all the "rude" or "terrible customer service" reviews about this place, then maybe it's time to look into this? If it's the owner,...
Read moreI will never get food from this place ever again. They delivered food to my place that I didn't order. The driver got the address wrong. I was in the shower when they delivered this and my son and law didn't know and signed for the food thinking I had ordered it. When I seen the bag on the table I asked what it was. When he told me I said I didn't order any food. The bag did not have the name of the restaurant and there was no menu in the bag. I did not open anything and told him they will figure it out just leave it there until someone comes back to get it. I had a voicemail on my phone it was from Illiano's because I have ordered takeout from there before so they must have figured out the wrong address and seen I had ordered from there before and had my number. I was threatened on the voicemail that I was going to jail for signing for good that wasn't mine. They was calling 911 on me for fraud and the man continuously screamed I know you we know who you are over and over. When I called back to tell them this was their mistake not mine and not to call my phone threatening he continued to be nasty to me. I asked he come get they bag that his driver brought to the wrong address. When he arrived at my house not once did he say he was sorry for threatening me on the voicemail that I still have saved. I even asked was I the one who signed for it and he said no and asked he take the food all he said was ok thank you. I am a supervisor on my job and believe me when I say it would have been the driver that I was upset with and I would not have treated a customer the way...
Read moreSkip this place. No one came to our table to take our order so we went to the cashier to place one. She informed us she would come to the table to take our order, which we waited over 20 minutes for. We had hungry kids, otherwise we would’ve left. We waited almost another 40 minutes for our food-we were told they were busy but the place was almost dead. Food was terrible (spaghetti bland, lamb dry, chicken tenders overcooked) and order was incorrect. I got the completely wrong order but we’d waited so long that I tried to just eat it, plus no one ever checked on us to see how things were going. When we finally got our bill, we asked to see the check and we were told they aren’t able to show people their checks. What kind of place is this?? We wanted to make sure the bill was correct since our order wasn’t, and when we told the waitress/cashier, she just said “sorry, we’re busy.” Worst of all, my husband is a combat vet and we had two small children with us while Aljazeera was on a huge tv in the background. None of us really wanted to see people being blown to bits while trying to eat dinner. Never mix politics with business ownership-Not a family friendly place, certainly not Italian cuisine either. Also, owners kicked out a DoorDasher who was trying to pick up an order and even went out of the way to have DoorDash speak to restaurant. They told her they won’t answer the phone and to get out. We would never recommend this...
