First visit to Cheesers on the recommendation of a friend. It's located in the heart of the revamped historic downtown Clermont. Since we arrived right at 11:00, we were given the option of the breakfast or lunch menu, so we got both. In the end, my wife went for breakfast, and I chose the lunch menu. The decor seems to be, ugh, I'm not sure where they're taking it, but the sailfish seems out of place. Let's just go with eclectic. My wife had the Benedict grilled veggies on croissant with the oven baked wedge potatoes, and I had the Whiskey cheddar burger "Frances way" which adds crispy onions and a jalapeño relish to the toppings on a ciabatta bun. Instead of a side, I had the Chicken enchilada soup of the day. She also had a cappuccino, and I tried the Wheatly Maple Breakfast, which really doesn't have anything to do with breakfast, just an interesting cocktail and only $8! Everything came out in a reasonable time and looked great and tasted equally good. I thought the creamy cheddar on my burger was unusual and delightful at the same time. Our server, Shannon, was terrific and very helpful with these two first timers. As our weather is improving we'll try sitting outside next time. Enjoy!

I just rated 4 stars for each of food, service and atmosphere subcategories. But I rated 5 stars for the overall rating. It doesn’t mathematically add up, but when I pay $9 for a soup/salad combination, then it makes a lot of sense. It’s a charming breakfast/brunch place located in the midst of historical village of Clermont. They open early and close early, like at 2 pm. Their menu resembles typical suburban diner. Actually slightly better. Servers are very friendly but it may take a while for the food to be arrive at your table. Especially during peak hours during weekend. There’s nothing special you want to mention about their culinary excellence. Interiors are old fashioned and wear/tear are very visible. But somehow, all added up for a nice dining experience. Red Baron sandwich is solid and tomato soup is tasty. I will be back soon for sure.

Cute, quaint, charming, and historic little restaurant tucked away in the historic area of Clermont my first visit to this city and I love how it feels like you're not in Florida. This restaurant feels like a breakfast Diner you'd see in a 70s movie, totally appreciate genuine places that just leave their mark. I had the veggie omelet with cheddar instead of Swiss and it was delish, I like how they tuck in all the ingredients inside the omelet and not necessarily chop it up and mix inside the whole thing so a different style but still delish and fresh. Coffee was meh, I'd love for these restaurants to team up with some coffee makers and enhance the experience. The service was great thank you Scott, great attentive, kind, and funny.

First time visiting with family. Family friendly atmosphere. I believe it’s the owner or manager that was very friendly. She appeared to be the only one pleased with welcoming us. Upon entering the boutique restaurant a couple in front of my family was asked if they were being helped and they said yes, the worker looked at me and turned her head to attend to a table and we continued to wait until someone else came to us. I immediately felt uncomfortable but decided to wait for my table. The service was not the best as we had to ask for straws, utensils and felt like a bother. Drinks were placed in front of my spouse and we were left to distribute our drinks to each other. I’ve dined in many restaurants and I’m used to servers bringing the drinks to us and not leaving everything at the end of the table to distribute especially hot drinks. Lastly, a member in my party asked for a little more hot chocolate due to his cup not being filled even halfway which we weren’t going to pay for. He didn’t drink from his cup because as the server was placing the drinks in front of him he asked her before she walked away. She took his cup, made a sigh of annoyance and returned it full. All was well, food came out fast. Portions were great. Upon getting the check we were charged for an additional cup of hot chocolate when the first cup wasn’t touched it was asked to be filled. Definitely realized that this is not the place for us. We left with a smile, didn’t complain and still tipped but will not return or...

I saw multiple people recommended this place on Clermont face book group and a great alternative to the local chain restaurants so wanted to try it out. The staff is super friendly. It was a cloudy day so we sat inside on the side where the bathrooms are but at the opposite end of the bathrooms. We were seated at a corner table next to the emergency exit which unfortunately had urine like odor. I ordered the Red Baron Sandwich that was listed as award winning on the menu. Unfortunately the sandwich was very disappointing. The pulled chicken was very rubber like and chewy, seem stale. This may have been a one off event since there are so many good reviews. I only forced myself to eat half of the sandwich and left the other half. My mother in law saw I didn’t finish it and asked for a container because she thought I wanted to take it to go and I didn’t want to be rude so I just took it with me and tossed it outside. The coffee was cold but I didn’t bother asking for a new one or refill (we did go later in the day, closer to 1pm) The positives: the Potato wedges were one of the best I’ve had so far. My wife and mother in law ordered the eggs Benedict which they enjoyed and I had a small bite and can say it was pretty good as well. They are kid friendly and they kids enjoyed their meal as well, I also tried some of theirs and it was good. Unfortunately my order was the only one that was disappointing. I will prob go back and try...
