Green Mountain Pizza — Restaurant in Clermont

Green Mountain Pizza was highly recommended by the girl drawing my blood at LabCorp down the street. She said she went there all the time for the two giant slices for $5 deal, and she said it was the best pizza around. I got two slices of pepperoni pizza for $5.70 (.35 per extra topping per slice). Delicious! They also have a deal from 2 to 5 p.m. every day for one slice of pizza and either beer or wine for $5. They have beer on tap. They're open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday. I told one of the owners we would be switching our Friday night pizza night to their restaurant and he told me I might want to order online because they are very busy on Friday evenings and they have online reward-type specials. I looked at their website and decided to place our Friday evening order right then since our daughter was visiting. I ordered a 14" Vesuvio Special - their signature vesuvio pizza with sautéed spinach and feta cheese (no sauce), a 14in pepperoni pizza, and a 12in Hawaiian pizza for my daughter. I also ordered garlic bread, and Tiramisu for dessert. They also have Gelato (I had a scoop of the salted caramel while waiting - delicious), and other dessert options, and they have non Pizza items on the menu like calzone and Stromboli, Wings, burgers, and sub sandwiches. Even a breakfast sandwich When I came in with the food and said it was from Green Mountain Pizza, my daughter (who has lived in Clermont for a while) said, "Whoa! That's the best! They used to be on Green Mountain Parkway in Montverde, and I was so happy when they moved to Clermont. They just remodeled their dine-in side of the restaurant. The place is really clean." That's another thing I had noticed - how spotlessly clean the place is. The owner had told me it was okay if we come in right before closing (9:00 pm) because they don't mind since they are there till about 11:30 each night cleaning up. She and my wife both loved the pizza. I also liked that when ordering online, you have the option of choosing regular, crispy, extra crispy, or well done. I always like my pizza crust very crispy, and not every place has that option when you are...

I am always very positive with all my reviews but this weekend I really wanted to support a local restaurant but as we walked in the young lady behind the register that hesitated in giving me and my party the menu lost me completely after I said, "Good Afternoon" to her first, she told me we could not sit inside yet until we ordered the food and to just wait in the front (Standing up) once the food was ordered and ready, she would see at that point if we could be seated or just take it to go? (I actually looked inside the dining room area and it was empty, so did my other three people in my group) I was honestly confused by her comment and she was not welcoming at all and that comment was not only rude, demeaning but there was an older guy waiting for his order there as well and he looked at us confused by what he had heard from her as well. I told her I rather take my hard earned money some where else and she replied, "Have a nice day" I have reviewed many local restaurants not only here in Florida but other states. With more than 1000+ reviews I have to be honest, "this was the most confusing introduction to a Pizza restaurant" I left that place confused and first time I cannot review the food or have anything positive to write. Just want to know when it became okay to be rude and not welcoming? Especially when all I wanted to do was try the food and support a local restaurant. This is and was confusing to me and believe me I do not want that establishment to say, "I misunderstood" due to the fact that the other 3 people with me were baffled as well by her comment. We were not insulted or mad but honestly confused and disappointed at this behavior, "everyone has every right to have a bad day but this type of behavior should not be expected in times like these and businesses are trying to keep afloat in times like this". You the person reading this, "review" take these actions that was done to us in whatever way you think. I do not see longevity with this establishment going past 5 years with an attitude like that and clearly this young lady needs training and better etiquette by the owners but espicially with the customers...

I discovered this place shortly after they opened their Clermont location (originally takeout only). My first impression over the phone with Allison was that this is a place that cares about their customers and wants their business. After placing my order online (she told me there were coupons/discounts if I order through the website) I went to pick up my order. Allison welcomed me to the shop and told me all about their intention of opening a dining room in the coming months. After my 10 minute drive home and being tempted by the aromas from my order the entire trip, the pizzas we ordered were devoured by my family and me. We all exclaimed…. THIS IS OUR NEW FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE! I have been proudly waiving the Green Mountain Pizza flag ever since, and now that their dining room is open, you can have the pizza straight out of the oven and… let me tell you… the entire menu is FANTASTIC! They have the absolute BEST BURGER IN CLERMONT and Roberto, one of the owners and the creator of the menu, is a SUPER guy! Come here, eat here, become friends with the fine folks here… you won’t be disappointed! I am a self proclaimed GMP Ambassador… once you eat here, you’ll become one, too. :)

Green Mountain Pizza is STILL THE BEST PIZZA IN CLERMONT, MINNEOLA… ORLANDO!!! We have continued to go here regularly and the food is the most consistent thing outside of Chick Fil A!!! My family and I have tried EVERYTHING on the menu multiple times and it is fantastic EVERY TIME! The staff/service is GREAT! The service is PHENOMENAL! The food is EVEN BETTER!!! We bring newcomers regularly and they become regulars themselves! Closed on Sunday and Monday… THEY TOTALLY DESERVE TO BE CLOSED TWO DAYS A WEEK BASED ON THE QUALITY OF FOOD AND SERVICE THEY PROVIDE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE! Green Mountain Pizza is LOVE! They love their patrons and they LOVE the community of Clermont! This place deserves your support… especially Tuesday - Thursday! GREEN MOUNTAIN...
