Wanda Mofongo House — Restaurant in Clermont

I visited the food truck located on the corner of West Colonial Dr in the Dunkin Donut’s parking lot. I ordered steak tacos following my shift at Dunkin (about 8:45p) last night. I waited about 10 minutes before requesting an Uber to go home. The Uber ETA was 13 minutes. About 5 minutes beforehand I advised the young lady I was expecting an Uber and that I’d cancel the order if it wasn’t ready. She told me it was coming then. 5 minutes later the Uber arrived and I was still waiting for my food. I asked a second time to just cancel and receive a refund as I didn’t want the Uber to leave me. The lady told me because I paid with a debit card, I could not be given a refund. She blatantly lied in my face! I’ve worked for many different places who use the same clover system she was using. You most definitely can issue a refund whether the guest pays cash or card! That was a bull! While the food that I had no choice but to wait for because she refused to refund me was good, I will NOT visit this place again! Unpleasant experience, at best. I ordered a juice for $8 (my mistake was not to check the price initially) and then asked if I could change it to soda which is $2. They said YES you can. However, when I asked for my $6 which is the difference in $$ they said they cannot do that because I paid in card!!. Assuming there is any possible valid reason in the world not to refund me, you should have just tell me that in advance prior to telling me YES we can make changes to your order. They expected me to walk away without my $6 and much worse, without my juice!! I don’t understand on what basis they expected to keep my $6. For me, It really wasn’t about $$ (it was $6 after all) but about the willingness to manipulate customers. Not cool.

They open late and when they finally opened the doors to the costumers they said the don't have pretty much nothing ready, so one of the employee said that they can only prepare sandwiches because is simple and fast. So I ordered 2 sandwiches of pastrami to go and some mangu , queso, salami y huevo frito, I waited 1 hour to get it. When I finally got it she priced at $26.00 so I went home for my surprise both pastrami sandwiches so small never in my life had seen such a small thing they used hot dogs buns 😠 the mangu was alright but definitely not fresh from today, recalentao'.
