I recently visited a local Puerto Rican restaurant for the third time, and each visit has been a uniquely delightful experience. From the soft opening to the bustling atmosphere of my latest visit, this restaurant has consistently impressed me with its dedication to authentic Puerto Rican cuisine and a lively, welcoming ambiance.
During my first visit at their soft opening, I was craving homemade comforts - chicken soup, fresh orange juice, and tostones. The staff were incredibly accommodating, preparing everything fresh and to order. The warmth and kindness of the service added a special touch to the already delicious food. For my son, they freshly prepared fried meat and fries, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
My second visit was with a local notary friend who is also from Puerto Rico. Despite the chaos due to the overwhelming crowd and a longer wait time for our food, the visit was worthwhile. The live music and vibrant atmosphere more than made up for the wait, and the food was, as expected, delectable.
On my third visit, I was pleased to see that the restaurant had implemented effective systems and procedures to manage the crowd, without losing the âfrom scratchâ feel of their dishes. I indulged in my favorites again - the chicken soup, tostones, and fresh orange juice, and tried their sweet fresh bread, which was a delightful addition to the meal.
The restaurant now stays open until 2 am, catering to night owls and late-night cravings, a testament to its growing popularity and success. However, I would recommend a change in their signage to reflect the shift from Mexican to Puerto Rican cuisine, as many people are still unaware of this change.
In summary, this Puerto Rican restaurant is a gem that offers a taste of the islandâs rich culinary heritage. Iâm proud to see it thriving and maintaining the quality of its food and atmosphere. Itâs a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Puerto Rican flavors in a lively and friendly...
Read moreSome of the best customer service, humbleness by our server, atmosphere, and most of all the excellent food, pricepoint for the quantity and quality of food. The Monfongo was fresh, and the garlic was well balanced with their spices. The server recommended Creole's sauce for the monfongo was amazing. Now, the fried pork chunks were soft and well seasoned. We also had the bacalitos (fried fish batter, well seasoned and very tasy) My guest had the papa's locas that were a large portion and with the pork shoulder (Pernil) that was soft and well seasoned as well and Mayo Ketchup on top with cheese that was delicious and a side of salad. A beautiful place where they do not have to have multiple screens playing obnoxious music or loud music. Center stage is the excellent food made from scratch. A well-done Puerto Rican restaurant that gives so much for your money, and you can taste the love. Thank you! (By the way, they were playing music, but not loudly, you can actually have a conversation with your guests or loved ones. Also, they offer a variety of drinks and homemade desserts like flan and many others. Breakfast can be purchased before 10:30 am. I will be back.....I hope my review helps out this restaurant find new customers from all over. I support local mom and pop restaurants...
Read moreLa JabrĂtia in Clermont has become a go-to spot for me and my coworkersâweâve been coming almost every Saturday since January 2024. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and Mel, our regular server, is an absolute gem. Sheâs kind and caring and always ensures we have everything we need.
The food is outstanding, and two of my favorite dishes are the âEl JĂbaroâ and âLa JĂbara.â The El JĂbaro is a mouthwatering skirt steak stuffed with mamposteado, served on a bed of malanga and pumpkin mash, topped with chimichurri sauce, and comes with a side salad. Every bite is a burst of flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
The La JĂbara is equally impressiveâa wrapped chicken breast stuffed with mofongo, wrapped in bacon, and topped with a creamy sauce. Itâs a huge dish, but the combination of textures and flavors is incredible. It also comes with a side and a side salad, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.
The service, food, drinks, and prices are all top-notch. As servers in the industry, we appreciate that theyâre open late at night, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long shift. If youâre in the area, La JabrĂtia is a must-visit, especially if youâre lucky enough to have Mel as...
