Pico Bistro — Restaurant in Clermont

Pico Bistro is a Brazilian empanada stand located in Montrose Street Market, located in Clermont; 25 miles west from downtown Orlando. The decor inside the stand was minimal; but was very updated and brand new. There is outdoor seating, something the other stands in the market don’t have! The person at the stand was extremely kind and generous. He is the only one there; but he hand makes all the empanadas himself.

Talking about the Empanadas; they were all very good. The crust was very crispy and fresh. The #6 had lots of flavor inside. So is the #1, which was stretchy and very good. Never actually open when I want to come down despite all their open signs being out. I've visited 3 times over the last week only to hear from other patrons "They'll be back in 10 minutes", when in reality you're going to be waiting longer than that. They don't turn off the ordering system when they're going so good luck.

Taking a break for an entire hour is super unnecessary and you end up losing business since 4-5pm is peak hours. But nobody is there right at 5pm either. Incredible empanadas! The dough is soft (not as flaky as some other types) - and the fillings are generous. They are not greasy/oily at all - and the fries are wonderful! I had a pork and pineapple, an Italian type filling (cheese, ham and oregano), and a provolone and sausage. I want to try them all now! Excellent service and we sat outside at the picnic tables.
