My family decided to pay it a visit on 4/13/25. I wish we had walked out as soon as we walked in, but my son was taking me out as a belated birthday present, and he kinda had his heart set on it. It wasn't terribly busy, but looking around while we were waiting to be seated, I noticed the floor was trashed and sticky. When the host decided to seat us, he was undecided and ended up placing us at a window booth. The waitress showed up after a few minutes and took drink orders. She gave us a few minutes to decide, and then as we were ordering, (we had all wanted items with mushrooms) she informed us the restaurant was out and we had to order other things instead. We ordered the appetizer and told the waitress we needed silverware. Got the appetizer, and still no silverware, but it was pretzel sticks, and we could manage. (They had been sitting for a bit because the cheese already had a pretty think film on it where it was congealing. Then our food came and still no silverware. When we reminded the waitress about the silverware, she said she'd get it and then proceeded to take the order of the table next behind us. (Seriously!) When she finished that, she proceeded to walk to the computer to put their order in. Our food is getting cold so I go ask at the bar if I could please get some, because we don't have any. The bartender, who was super sweet, gave me some, and I took it back to the table. We have just gotten the forks unwrapped when the waitress shows up with some silverware and then asks us if our food is good. To which I respond, "We don't know. We just got our silverware." She says "oh" and then disappears. My son's steak is over done, my husband's sandwich (prime rib dipper) - the meat was hard and crunchy. The sweet bartender came up and asked us if our stuff was okay, and I let her know the steak was overdone. She offered to send it back, but my son declined. She went back, and the manager came out and let us know she had comped the steak, which we appreciated, offered us dessert, which we declined, and then took my husband's plate because he had managed to finish. The original waitress came up demanding to know what was wrong with it, and we told her nothing. We got a mumbling apology from her. Then we had ant visitor who came out and walked across the table. It was not a good experience overall. We appreciate the kindness of the bartender and the manager as well, but I don't see us ever coming back to...
Read moreI normally enjoy going to Applebees but the bartender ruined it this time. I sat at the bar and ask for a Long Island ice tea drink, because the drink is on special for $1.00 during the month of December. I said to the bartender (Logan J),wow what a great deal the drink was! It made him very upset and he said " yeah but unfortunately it brings in a certain kind of customer's " , now I know a insult when I hear it and I almost walked out. But I thought hmmmm, I've never seen this guy before don't let it bother you, your hungry. Then he proceeded to say how "customer's that order that drink never order food and just take up space at the bar and waste his time cause they tip accordingly to the drink price. The bartender named (Logan J) never smiled the whole time I was there. I had a drink and ordered food and while I was enjoying another Long Island, another customer sat at the bar and ordered the Long Island and the bartender again said loud enough for at least half the people sitting around that "this type of price on a drink brings in a certain kind of customer, and that was ok cause he was not gonna be in this type of business much longer." I thought with that type of attitude you sure won't. After listening to the gentleman talk next to me I found out he was a engineer that had been working 7days a week for several months on a project. So I guess the bartender thinks a drink that cost a dollar brings in low income people that make over $100,000.00 per year. I myself make well over $50,000.00 per year, and to be insulted over a drink that Applebees corporate introduced for a promotion is intolerable. I have been going to that Applebees (Paul Huff hwy, Cleveland Tennessee)for 9 years, can you imagine how much money I have spent there in that time. I can say this, if I go in and see the bartender (Logan J) working any where in that Applebees or any other one, I will not stay and will turnaround and walk out! (Attracts a certain kind of customer, yeah ones that know value to the dollar) Shame on...
Read moreSuper disappointed. I had such high hopes that things would be better when they reopened but aside from the new floors and fresh paint, today's visit was far worse than any visit prior to their shut down. Took over 20 minutes to get 2 soups and 1 appetizer. Another 10 minutes or so to get 1 salad, which the waitress then offered to remove from the ticket for that person. We watched our waitress stand around and talk for a bit, not attempting to fix the salad or even go check on it. Our food arrived shortly after that. 1 waitress rested a plate on the shoulder of one of my colleagues. Salmon was completely tasteless and when we asked for seasoning, they acted like they didn't know what seasoning was and offered cocktail sauce. Chicken on alfredo was burnt. Sides tasted good but nothing was hot. Finally the checks come and the salad that was "removed" had been moved to another persons check at our table. She requested that it be taken off hers as it wasn't her salad to begin with. We all give our cards with our receipts to pay, the waitress runs everything and when she brings back our receipts, the person who ordered the salad noticed her bill that she gave her card to pay was originally $13 and some change, had been changed to $17 and some change. She questioned this and the waitress said "Oh, the salad got put back on there. Would you like it removed?" to which she replied "Yes, since you stated it would be." The waitress returned 5-10 minutes later with the receipt and $4 in cash stating since the card had been ran, she couldn't fix it and gave her cash to try and fix the mistake. At no point during this visit did a manager ever come and check in with us, even though they were talking to our waitress about the salad issue. Just super disappointed with everything...
