My family ended up here on a whim this wknd trying to fix the original fizzled out plans. Seafood being my first choice to eat and the rare chance to have seafood out won my vote from the start. I was skeptical and starving so off we set. I decided no expectations mattered cause our night was a flop and this was the quickest attempt under pressure fix I had to sacrifice our trip shy of a total loss. This was hands down our best washed up let's make the most of it adventure yet. I feel fortunate for the flop cause this sealed the deal for us. We briefed the mall for a quick visit to Santa, a few answered questions for my curious one, and photos to remind me of the memories we made when my mind forgets how to visit there anymore. Mom and Dad saved the day again. We kept Christmas coloring pics for the restaurant to busy our young enough to bare the meal with less struggle. We were prepared for once in our lives to take on the restaurant bravely with confidence that our 5 year old twins would lose this battle before it began. We go in get seated with very little backlash from our seating arrangements. They asked with their big manners so softly with a smile it made me proud. Our waitress made it here mission right then to keep those smiles on their faces. She got us the biggest deal for our buck and everyone got what they wanted. She brought LOL crayons for their pictures and an erasing tablet board (modern day version of magna doodle board) for their entertainment. She sat with us laughed with us and won every ounce of my respect I could give her. I wish I could remember her name but I will get it to update. The food came fast and the quality was top notch. Service was a special treat of its own thanks to a damn good way under paid waitress. She has a special skilled that's not acknowledged anymore a skill that can't be taught nor faked. This is our new spot now. We will now intentionally make it a mission to visit here anytime we wanna make a good family outing a success without filing bankruptcy...my only regret is not having more cash for her tip. I left $25 but still felt she was underpaid and underappreciated. We shall visit often to let her know we appreciate all she does and will compensate her as much as we possibly...
Read moreThis place is just "Meh", and if Cleveland ever got a Joe's Crab Shack or Red Lobster, I do not think this place would survive. Heck, I am not sure if it is going to survive even without there being competition.
For what they have to offer, their prices are really high and the menu is very limited. And do not think about substitutions!!! Have it your way?...Nope! not here.
I brought my family with me to try this place for the first time. We each ordered something different with the idea we would sample off each other's plate. After doing so, I can assure you that the quality of food is no better than what you would expect from a low quality street vendor with a food cart.
The catfish is no different in taste or quality than what you would get a bag of generic frozen pre-battered catfish at the grocery store.
The fries, both the regular and Cajun, are very bland and if it were not for the color, are indistinguishable from each other. They were not greasy and had the resemblance of being either "air-fried" in a convection oven or baked.
The shrimp basket, though the shrimp were large, the texture was chewy and the flavor of the bredding was bland.
And the Crab....
There are no choices or variety. You can not customize your order. You just get what you get... and that is an underwhelming heap of mess that has been over-cooked and thrown together.
Folks, I am not saying this place is bad, I am just saying that fast-food joints have the same or better quality of food for a much lower price. And I am warning you... if you love Crab, do not get it here. You will be disappointed. Now... if you do not care about how your food taste and you do not care about over paying, this place is perfect.
As far as service. It was average.
They could use less tables in the dining area. The booths are cramped together. Even my son that is 5' 9" and only 135 lbs felt cramped in the booth. If you have a medium to large figure, you will not be able to fit in the booth and will have to...
Read moreAll I can say is WOW! We have tried most of the seafood places in Chattanooga and all of the (very few) places in Cleveland and hands down this is the best place for seafood. We were greeted as soon as we walk in the door and escorted to our booth. The Waitress was right there and took our drink orders. The wife had the steamed oysters and snow crab legs and a side of green mussels. I had the clam chowder and fried tilapia with the cajun fries and they were are super delicious. The Wife is a seafood queen and says all the sea food was fresh and cooked perfect. I have to say the way they cook and serve the seafood is so cool, they bring it to the table in a large plastic bag that looks like what it was steamed in and open the bag with steam rolling out and place the seafood on a tray that included whole potatoes and corn on the cob steamed. Usually the wife is very picky on seafood but she had no complaints. My clam chowder was thick and loaded with clam pieces and potatoes and I cleaned the bowl out. My fish and fries were hot and the breading was just right on the fish and the fries were well seasoned. They also have a bar and a good selection of beer and mixed drinks. If you like sea food you will love this place and we will...
