First time going out after having a baby and I was super excited to try this place out. The reviews and photos online looked great so we made the 25 minute drive to eat here. Everything was going fine in the beginning. We were sat right away, food came out fast and tasted delicious. When it came to our server I was not impressed. She was not attentive to us when it came to refills of our drinks. The glass my coke was in was small so I did drink it fast. When she did come back to us after we already finished our meal without a refill she seemed ready to give us our check to get us out right away. My husband and I still wanted to soak up our first night out in months so he asked for another beer and a refill of my coke. As we waited she returned with my coke and started attending to other customers. This is where everything went downhill. For some reason unknown to us she decided to place a used, already drunk glass of water on our table right in front of me. As you can see on the picture below it even had the leftover lipstick on the straw. At first I didn’t even notice until I ALMOST took a sip. Absolutely disgusting!! As we sat there for another 15 minutes (mind you still waiting on his beer which never came) she looked over at our table 3 times that I could count. Never once asking us if we were alright. Finally when she came back she was ready once again to get us out. My husband asked for the check which is presented on a digital screen. That is when he informed her of the missing beer and the disgusting cup she left on our table. She immediately became agitated, took my card to pay the bill and selected no tip on the screen before I could even respond. After it was approved she walked off leaving us without even a receipt. I had such high hopes for this place and wanted to enjoy my night out with my husband but it was not what I expected. Never had I ever had a waitress leave someone else’s dirty dish on my table right in front of me. I am not one to leave a review but after how she behaved when we paid the bill I had to say something. So to wrap out the night, food was good but the service was dirty and not...
Read moreIf I could give this place one star I would. I had a terrible experience over the weekend and the staff was extremely rude. I went to Blue Habanero with my family over the weekend and we were seated upstairs. 15 minutes went by and we were not greeted by a waiter nor did we have water. Another black family was seated upstairs as well during this time and had also not been greeted by a waiter and did not have water. Then, two white families came upstairs and IMMEDIATELY they had water on their tables and a waiter come by. And at this time still no water nor waiter had come to greet or help us. I asked the waiter upstairs to come here and he brushed me off (never came by). I went downstairs to speak to the manager on duty and he was no help at all. I explained what was going on and he had this smirk on his face like he did not care. He kept saying just sit downstairs basically ignoring the fact how we were treated upstairs. I explained to him it was common courtesy for servers to greet their tables in less than five minutes (like they had the other tables upstairs) and he just kept saying just sit downstairs. Like huh? Then when I explained to the server who brushed me off that it was common courtesy to come over to a table even if it is not his and he said "I'm sorry I'm new here" and no he is not. This is not my first time at blue habanero and he is always there. Its unfortunate because I used to enjoy this place, but after how I was treated never again. And I had my two young kids!! I had to explain to them the black people in restaurant stereotype -- servers/staff assume just by looking at us we won't pay or we won't tip so they treat us a certain type of way. And no we did not stay because the manager and staff did not make us feel welcomed or that our...

My first visit to Blue Habanero Tacos was a serendipitous find through Google Maps, and it turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience! If you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine in Cleveland, this place is an absolute must-visit.
The pork tacos were a revelation—the tender meat was packed with mouthwatering flavors that left me craving more. And let's talk about the mango salsa! It was the perfect combination of sweet and tangy, elevating the tacos to a whole new level of deliciousness.
But the surprises didn't end there. The fried fish tacos were an explosion of flavors, each bite bursting with a delightful medley of spices. The culinary skills behind these tacos were truly impressive.
The guacamole at Blue Habanero Tacos deserves a special mention. Fresh, creamy, and simply divine, it's hands down the best guac I've ever had. The perfectly ripe avocados and traditional seasonings created a harmonious blend of flavors that had me scraping the bowl clean.
The drinks menu offered a wide variety of options, and I was not disappointed. The refreshing margaritas and creative cocktails added a delightful touch to the meal, perfectly complementing the flavors of the food.
The service was exceptional, with a friendly and attentive staff that made me feel right at home. However, do note that the restaurant can get a bit noisy and crowded during peak hours, so plan accordingly.
Overall, Blue Habanero Tacos is a hidden gem for Mexican food enthusiasts. With its tantalizing tacos, heavenly guacamole, delectable drinks, and outstanding service, this place has rightfully earned its spot as a go-to Mexican restaurant in Cleveland. Just be prepared for a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Highly...
