We got there with a larger group, 15ish but called ahead and they accommodated us pretty quickly. They had us sit at multiple tables near eachother and it totally worked for us. The restaurant was very loud and people navigating through the entire time and it kind of felt chaotic and it was hard to relax. I got an appetizer plate for my entree because the menu said stuffed jalapeño peppers was one of the 4 items. It was simply jalapeño poppers... why they didnt say that is beyond me because I wasn't expecting a fried greasy popper for some reason. I was expecting to see an actual homemade stuffed jalapeño. The wings were good on the plate, the taquitos and empanadas were just dry, overcooked crunchy fried items that basically tasted the same. Not a fan of this whatsoever.
My daughter had 2 steak tacos and said they weren't the best and wished she had ordered something else. My other daughter ordered birria tacos and was happy with her meal and shared! My son got the kids burger w/Fries and he was completely satisfied. Our server was very attentive and got things to us as quickly as possible while having several tables and...
Read moreOk, I must preface this with the fact that I am from CA and have enjoyed the best Mexican food. This place was legit, authentic, delicious Mexican.
We went in for lunch, which wasn't too busy. The atmosphere looked like a typical, casual Mexican cafe. Booths lining the walls. They had several TV's up, which seemed a little out of place, but kept the kids entertained. There is a covered, outdoor patio for the warmer days. Prices were very affordable!
Chips were fresh, salsa had the perfect medium heat (Goldilocks would have been happy). We enjoyed the chimichanga, taco, and enchiladas. The rice and beans were delicious, not the dry tasteless rice you get in some places. The enchilada sauce was SO good, maybe the best we ever had.
We haven't been in on the weekend, but heard Saturdays are a blast with live music. Definitely recommend this...
Read moreThe prices are average to high, the food is average to below. I asked for Verde sauce and they brought it out in a little cup about 2oz. I also asked for hot sauce, which also came out in a little cup. When I got the bill it showed 2 charges for .99 cents for sauces! That wasn't a quarter's worth of sauce and the hot sauce wasn't edible. It has a horrible flavor! A lot of places don't even charge for those sauces. The waiter should have told me it was extra. Oh, I don't recommend the chorizo. I couldn't eat my chorizo taco. It was awful. Since there are other options in town tonight was the first time I've eaten here in years. I don't see me coming back...
