This was one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. We love Chattanooga and go there from Pensacola 2 -3 times a year. Lots to do and lots of great places to eat. We are always looking to try new places too. We had spent the day hiking and were looking for some pizza and beer for dinner. We usually go to the Community Pie, but we wanted to try something new. After checking Yelp we went with Lupi's up by the aquarium. So when you go in there you have to order everything from the counter, then they bring it to you. No problem, however the girl behind the counter seemed pretty lost, but after 3 try's we got some beer and ordered a 5 cheese pizza. When we got the pizza it had zero sauce on it, so I asked if I could get a side of sauce. The waitress brought us a small bowl of tomato sauce. However, it was ice cold, I mean almost frozen. So I asked her if she could bring us some hot, or at least warm sauce. She took it and in a minute a guy comes over with the sauce (i took him to be the manager), and he says "We can't heat up the sauce". Huh? Why? "It's our policy" he says. We have to have ice cold sauce? Yes, if you order it separate. Don't you have a microwave, I asked? Yes, but we aren't allowed to heat the sauce. Why not? It's just our policy. If you want it hot, you have to order it on the pizza. Well, I ordered this pizza, which by the menu says it comes with sauce, but there is none. The 5 cheese has sauce but just very little, he says. That's why I asked for more? We can give you sauce on the side but it has to be cold. Because, it's just your policy? Yes. The pizza was just ok, but the people there were just about brain dead. We won't be back, as it's just my policy not to put ice cold sauce...

We ordered two 12โ pizzas, a regular calzone for our friend, and a slice of cheese pizza for our daughter. We waited for THE longest time for our food. We eventually got the two pizzas-but no calzone or slice of cheese pizza to be seen. I got up after waiting another ten minutes and found the nearest waitress! She was a HUGE help, HAH! She looked up at me from cleaning the table and said, โwhatโs up?โ I told her we were missing food. And she rudely replied, โitโs probably in the oven.โ Then proceeded to do nothing, aside from sass and talk about me when I walked away. I eventually went and asked for a manager. He seemed frazzled as I explained the situation. He even said that theyโve already had a discussion with the server with the bad attitude and it was an ongoing situation. He did bring over a calzone a few minutes later, the wrong one. A few more minutes later a slice of cheese pizza for our very hungry little girl! Manager brought out another calzone and asked if we wanted it or our money back, how about both? I think all together we sat there for an hour and a half trying to get food/correct food! I understand it was a Friday night and they were somewhat busy, but the way everything was handled was a deal breaker for us. Perhaps will eat Lupiโs again, but not...

WHY? Since when do Calzones have dipping sauce? PIZZA doesn't come with dipping sauce. Oh well, the contents of the two Calzones was wanting. I asked for Feta and moserrella and could barely find any cheese. The other contents were the same....hard to find and tasteless. I asked for whole wheat crust...I'll never do that again. The crust was tough and thick and overpowered the overall flavor. We ordered. Cheese bread....make that bread sprinkled sparingly with cheese. It was like their P & L statement hinged entirely on how little they could serve and still call it Lupis food. The staff in the kitchen (where every one can see) never cracked a smile and for the most part Never talked with each other. Their tattered ball caps all placed differently on each person's head looked like the 5 people in the kitchen were picked up as place holders down in the dock area. Seriously, Noone came to work appearing professional except the hostess and the owner. Our food came up and sat there for some duration while a lengthy discussion occurred about whose food it was, what it was and who was going to delivery it. All the while my wife and I watched our food getting colder by the minute. Lupis for us, went from Heros to Zeros in one hour. The...
