I have been here a few times, and my experience was pretty good with a few edits I would add. Firstly, the staff is quite nice and the food was always ready as soon as I got there. My first time going, they forgot the sauces and replaced my order which was fine; they owned up to their mistake and fixed it. I ordered the beef gyro box which came with fries and a salad. I asked for no salad both times I went, and they accommodate which I appreciate. The quality of the meat is good and I did not get a single rubbery bit of grizzle in my food which made it easy to eat. The fries were not bad, just could have been a little bit crispier. The box was 14 dollars and change, and for that amount I feel they could have given a bit of a more generous portion. The meat was seasoned well, but there was not much of it and the entire container is a little small. This is a spot I would go to if I had leftover food from the night before, and just needed some extra to make a complete meal. The box itself is not enough for a meal and I would need to order something else as well if I was getting my full dinner from this spot. One thing I did not like at all was the fact they put the sauces on the side recently. I want a gyro experience, this means squirt a ton of sauce all over the platter just like you see halal trucks do. You know what I am talking about, I want that experience, not the muted sauces on the side. I know they can do it, because when they made a mistake on my first order they completely covered the second one in sauce to make up for it. This is what I would like every single time. I had to pour the sauces all over and made a bit of a mess. I know what they may say “Oh some people prefer the sauce on the side to dip the food in, they don’t want too much” no. I highly recommend having an option saying sauce on the side for those who want it, and have the default being pour the sauces all over the platter. Don’t let those people who prefer sauces on the side ruin it for those of us that want the real deal! If I come back, I will be sure to add the detail in my order of put the sauce all over the platter so it swims. This was pretty good, but not that full gyro meal I am really looking for. Good job on the quality of the meat; if you love Turkish food and have some leftovers in your fridge to go with it, you may wanna...
Read moreEDIT: I was wrong the sandwich wasn't $15$ it was $14.50 for the beef I apologize
I've given this spot a couple of chances, and while I want to like it, my experiences have been inconsistent. The owner is a genuinely nice guy, and when he's around, things seem to run more smoothly. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, he wasn't there--and it showed.
I ordered the beef gyro and made sure to clearly request both white sauce and hot sauce in the sandwich. However, when I got home, I realized the sauces had been left out. Without them, the gyro was noticeably bland, and the bread was stale, which only made the experience more disappointing.
At $15 for just the sandwich (no fries or drink included), I can't help but feel it's overpriced for what you get. Hopefully, this was just an off day, but consistency is important--especially at this...
Read moreOrdered delivery via Grubhub. Ordered the chicken gyro box meal with a Diet Coke and side of pickles/japapenos. The meal is supposed to come with chicken gyro, salad, fries, two sauces. All I got was dried chicken over plain salad. No sauces, no fries, no pickles, no soda, and I received instead some weird white drink that no one could identify. This tiny portion cost almost $22!!!! Either they messed up my order terribly or they are a huge scam. Tried to call to get it fixed, they couldn't understand that it was wrong and refused to assist.
update called two more times, got hung up on both times.
update 2 dry. No sauce included. Spiced meat over plain salad. Not bothering with the drink as I don't know what's in it and couldn't trust it.
Worst experience I've had with any order, from any...
