I was interested when I saw a new local bakery open up right near Miller’s which is my usual spot. I wanted to give them a try since it looked interesting, and they seem to serve some savory breads as well as desserts. I tried a few of their different cakes and puddings. Their rice pudding was my favorite of what I tried; the texture was good and it had just the right amount of sweetness. I tried one of their chocolate moose like cakes which was not bad, but a little pricy for the little individual portion. I did not really like the chocolate pudding (may have been called something else). It tasted pretty dull and like one of those pudding cups that I could just buy at the grocery store. That said, definitely did like the rice pudding. Remember when I mentioned that I was looking forward to trying some of their savory breads? Well I never got to. The last time I went in, there were people sitting down eating and only one other person getting served. The guy before me was done, but he and the worker kept chatting away. I saw what was happening, and could tell what this worker was doing. He seemed to purposely get everything together so slowly so that he can continue the conversation with the customer. This way he could say “I was not done with him yet” but nope that excuse is out the window. I waited a good five minutes while they were catching up, but that was unacceptable. I walked out and people sitting down were staring at me on my way out like yes! I have better things to do with my time than wait around in a new bakery while staff is catching up with customers. I know you guys probably do not care to compare, but I will point out the obvious because they are right across the street from you. I have been to Millers countless times when they were busy, and they still got to me faster. Also, the prices this place charges is no match for what Millers offers. The price of two small individual cakes at this place could get me one big cake at Millers. I wanted to give this place a shot, but it seems they did not really care for my business so I will go back to the usual bakery. Word of advice; keep it moving and get to the customers. I was the ONLY other person in line waiting patiently, and looking back I feel I should have said something. I recommend going to Millers across the street instead. If you don’t really care about waiting while the staff get social with the locals, then this may be a place for you. Respectfully, there are many places around this area even walking distance to get good cakes/desserts. Customers like myself may not be so willing to wait around like this because of that. This place is kind of new, so the staff may still be getting into their grove. Unfortunately they missed out on what could have been a regular weekly customer. Ending this on a more positive note, keep serving up that rice pudding and best of luck...

Regarding the response I received: I want to make it very clear that I did visit the location on May 30th, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 9:37 AM.
To support this: – I’m attaching a photo of the two slices of cake I purchased – I’m also including a screenshot of my account showing the date and total amount of the transaction – I no longer have the two breads to photograph, as they’ve already been eaten
I understand that businesses may occasionally deal with false reviews, but I assure you this is not the case here.
I hope you’ll take a closer and more responsible look into the matter now that I’ve provided clear evidence.

I go to this bakery regularly, and my husband stops by every day to buy bread. The products are truly good – the bread and cakes have always stood out.
However, this is the second time that, even though I was next in line, I was ignored by a staff member who looked away and served people who arrived after me. I even saw another employee try to step in, but she refused and continued helping others.
It’s frustrating—especially being pregnant—to wait and be treated this way. I really like what this bakery offers, but the customer service is disappointing. Unfortunately, we’ll be looking for another place to go, because respect is also part of...
Read moreOn a regular workday that happened to be my wife's birthday, we were looking for a simple escape from the ordinary. After a bit of searching, we stumbled upon Vanilla Bakery & Cafe, and what a delightful discovery it was! This gem, found through a chance Google Maps search, turned out to be a 24-hour haven of sweetness in what might be one of the few remaining in the US!!.
The ambiance was inviting, and the display case was a visual treat, filled with an array of sweets, breads, and coffee drinks that looked as good as they tasted. We enjoyed our coffee served in elegant porcelain cups, which added a touch of sophistication to our casual outing. The croissant was perfectly crunchy and delicious, complementing the mini sandwiches with cream cheese that were just the right bite.
The bakery's commitment to being open 24 hours speaks volumes about their dedication to providing joy at any time. The pictures I've attached hardly do justice to the visual feast we experienced, but they give a glimpse into the variety and quality of treats available.
Vanilla Bakery & Cafe is not just a cafe; it's a delightful experience that turned our simple birthday celebration into a memorable one. I would definitely visit again and would highly recommended for anyone looking for a sweet escape...
