Long story short, Juan Dulce Desserts has amazing sweet and savory items and I promise that you'll leave loving anything you try! I've visited twice and I had everything from the truffle mac and cheese to the tres leches and chocolate chip cookies. It was also my first time trying key lime pie and now I can't stop thinking about it.
Also, I love supporting local businesses so being able to talk to the owner/chef and his wonderful wife is always a plus! They are super friendly and I look forward to visiting because I know it'll feel like home.
There is street parking available, sometimes it can be a little rough depending on the time of day but I am usually able to find a spot right in front. The inside is cozy with stools in front of the window and at the counter which it gives a dessert bar vibes and I'm here for it!
If you want a cup of coffee or hot chocolate they have that as well. I haven't had the hot chocolate yet but the coffee is delicious! You'll enjoy your time here whether you're chatting with the owner or scarfing down one of his homemade desserts. OH, please don't leave without trying a biscuit sandwich or the empanadas. The biscuit is DELICIOUS, better than anything I've tried before and the empanadas are baked, not fried. They're a 10/10.
Please add this spot to your list because you will not leave disappointed! Also, if you live close enough to order delivery from here I AM...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to try coconut flan, and I must say, it was quite the delightful experience. As someone who isn't typically fond of coconut, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this dessert.
Flavor: What truly amazed me was the balance of flavors in this dessert. While I usually shy away from anything coconut-flavored, the coconut essence in the flan was not overpowering at all. Instead, it contributed a delicate note that enhanced the overall.
Presentation: The presentation of the coconut flan was visually appealing. Served in individual ramekins.
Overall, I have to admit that this coconut flan won me over. It challenged my preconceived notions about coconut-flavored desserts and showcased how a well-balanced combination of textures and flavors can create a memorable experience. While I might not be a die-hard coconut fan, this dessert has certainly broadened my palate and encouraged me to explore more culinary surprises in the future. If you're looking for a unique and delicious dessert, don't hesitate to give the coconut flan a try – it might just become your new favorite, as...
Read moreI really wish I took photos of our treats. We were so excited and we duh in straight away! We tried the tres leches, coconut flan, passionfruit creme brûlée, and key lime pie. Each and every one of them was such a hit. I have to honestly say, hands down the best tres leches cake I’ve had in my life. In all honesty! It wasn’t too wet and mushy and it wasn’t to dry hoping for more leches. The meringue on top was so full of vanilla flavor. That had to be by far my favorite of everything we had. The passionfruit creme brûlée was very rich in its flavor. Very delicious, so was the key lime pie. I hate key lime pie but this was such a fresh and real taste of lime, I absolutely loved it. Juan Dulce is such a cool and kind soul. The conversation and vibes were awesome. My mom is picky with her coffee and she really enjoyed it. I’m definitely coming back for more!!! I really truly had nothing bad to say. If you’re in the area,...
