I came today to eat MENU which is a Peruvian word that simply translates to a set menu for a fix price. So I ordered the Papa Huancaina for appetizer and Pollo al horno con Russian salad and white rice. First, the appetizer flavor of the yellow sauce was off very hard of pinpoint what it was but on top of that was salty to the extreme. The main course was ok the Chicken was really oven cook soft and ok flavor a bit salty though and the Russian salad was again salty. The ambient was clean and the decorative was tasteful with Peruvian Pictures frames however, music a bit loud for lunch time and English music. It kills me that Peru has an extraordinary folklore music but so far no Peruvian restaurant I have visited they play. There was an older couple taking care of 4 tables and they seem overwhelmed. Last thing I just got the bill and again another business with the extra charge for using credit card.

I honestly wanted to leave a good review. I'm not sure what happened today but nothing was flavorful. This is not normally the quality or service I get when coming here but I was told they have new owners now. The menu changed, the food has changed, and even the drinks have changed. I used to enjoy my passion fruit with my meal and had to settle for a Pepsi since they no longer serve all the juices they use to. I hope the staff gets better trained and the cook steps up the game with flavors. The food looked great but once you try it you notice the lack of flavor. I'm just overall disappointed with today's visit.

Tried the lomo saltodo here. First timer. I just loved it. Very large portion of food. Can't complete it. We asked for spicy sauce and they were soooooo good. The only thing they could avoid is to put less french fries in lomo. I almost had 20 prices of fries which I couldn't eat. Other than that , nice ambience and great food. A lil pricey (20$ per head for a lomo) but it's good for once a month kinda food.

Dissapointed to write this review Peruvian food as always been my to go place to have a decent meal with a decent budget. I ordered a Chicken aguadito soup, which is a fairly simple dish a stipen of Peruvian food, they charged $13 (not priced on the menu) for less than a drum stick of chicken literally in two small pieces, which I asked the server if this is the normal serving size? the chicken tasted frozen not fresh, same as the frozen vegetables for the soup that tasted that it has been in the freezer for far too long. The leche de tigre fish was very rough no idea what kind if fish was used but poor quality. For the fish tiradito they used not the best quality of tilapia, the chaufa of pollo the chicken seemed it was precooked and not fresh before sauteing with the rice. Flavor was average but the quality is not desirable. On top they do not have a POS system with a receipt only a manual one which is not accetable in these days for all the human error and lack of detailed itemized of your order. Do not think I will be...

When I ordered the food I told the server I do not eat meat and I asked if my food could be cooked without it and she gave a really mean face and said okay. So I wait for my food. While I'm waiting I thinking "omg this is going to be sooo good I'm hungry I cannot wait to eat". 25 mins later my food gets to the table and I'm looking at it to make sure it's what I wanted and I see a little piece of steak 😡. I got so angry my skin started to boil. I couldn't eat after all that time waiting I couldnt eat! The server lied to my face and what's worse is I could have gotten sick if I didn't see that piece of meat. I felt so disrespected. I went into the bathroom and cried. I just got out of work I was so hungry and tired and all I wanted was some good Peruvian food without meat which she said could be done. The server Women has a really bad attitude not only did she lie to me she also forgot to bring a few ppl drinks to the table. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies do not eat here they will...

I would give this place 0 stars; there is no way you stay at a restaurant for over more than 3 hours waiting for your food!!! However, that is possible in this place. I was there with a group of friends literally from 3pm until almost 6:30pm. Why? Because it took forever for us to get our food! Around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Prior, we had to wait for the waitress to take our order (around 15 minutes). In addition, they gave 2 of our plates to a different table -we had to tell the waitress that it was a mistake and she only brought 1 plate. Moreover, I asked them million times (no kidding) to bring us more Peruvian pop corn, but it was all a waste of my time since no one listened/cared. Finally, we ordered Chaufa Especial to go and it was anything but delicious.

There are a lot of Peruvian restaurants in the area of NJ/NY that are way much better than this one. Do not waste your time and money going to Aji Limon; food is not that good, I am Peruvian born and raised and this...
