We were a party of 6 today picked up 2 NJ natives and asked about good ceviche, they recommended Santa Brasa, called to see if we needed reservations the lady on the phone was very polite and explained that we did not need reservation however she would have the table set for us. She did, they had a YouTube Peruvian DJ playing a variety of folk ballads. The space was full with a variety of guest, a few love birds parties of two, a few families with small children. The servers where attentive to everyones needs. Our server came over a few times to check on us and recommended a pitcher of chicha Morada instead of 4 chichas so we would get more bang for our buck. We also had a few inca colas lite. We all wanted seafood but in the end everyone ordered a steak dish. We stared off with the yucca frita and chicharon de calamari both arrived lite and crispy and fresh within a few minutes, well prepared with appetizer plates and the different aji hot sauces. We had 3 lomo saltados and the flavor was delicious you could taste the chare broiled smoky flavor, well seasoned soft steak with the yummy home cut fries that soaked up all the yummy gravy of the tomatoes onions. Our table also ordered 2 Churascos. "Grilled flank steak" one with fries and salad and one with tostones and sweet plantain. Again everything well cooked, to the medium rare specifications, well seasoned and tasty. Crispy fries and tostones. Finally I ordered tallarine a la huancayina, with steak, the lucious creamy sauce and the juicy steak melted in my mouth, I added a side salad. For the perfect balance. The pasta was so good my Columbian uncle asked for a few bites and he stated he regretted not asking for tallarines. I recommend you all take a bite of a juicy well seasoned steak at...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at Santa Brasa Real Peru (1291 Main St., Clifton, NJ), and I won’t be coming back. First, they don’t serve tap water—you’re forced to buy bottled water or another drink. On top of that, they charge for takeout containers without telling you upfront. I only found out when I got the bill.
To make matters worse, gratuity was already included in the check, which they also failed to mention. When I asked about these extra charges, the manager, Jenny, was extremely unprofessional and acted like this was completely normal and justified. Instead of addressing the issue properly, she was dismissive and condescending.
I’m originally from Clifton and have tried plenty of Peruvian restaurants in the area, and I can confidently say this place isn’t special. If you want better food and service, you’re better off heading to one of the great Peruvian spots in Passaic instead. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

Read moreFirst time coming here and I have to say I have been won over. The customer service is top tier and I say “is” because I am currently in the restaurant writing this. It is family oriented; clean and friendly. The owner and his kids do a great job catering the front entrance. As soon as we walked in they were inviting and then to just being a bit particular with our decisions, they find the best way to meet our needs and was done perfectly. The food has great and high reviews so I am looking forward to it; will definately do a follow up when I get it but so far definately a recommended location to all Peruvian culture lovers.🖤❤️
The food is now here and they honestly allowed your eyes to greet the food first. My eyes definately enjoyed before my stomach did. This is such a great eatery and I definately recommend to all and any parties looking for Peruvian culture based cuisine. This may have to be the new family spot make sure you stop by for sure. Thank you...
