I am utterly dismayed and deeply dissatisfied with the abysmal customer service experience I recently encountered at Hornitos Bakery. As loyal customers who have frequented your establishment for some time while in school, I am appalled by the complete lack of empathy and professionalism displayed by your staff.
My visit to your restaurant on 4/5/24 left me feeling not only disappointed but also disrespected. I ordered a small hot chocolate, expecting a certain level of quality and service that your establishment supposedly prides itself on. However, what I received was not only subpar but also completely unacceptable.
The beverage I was served was disgusting and when I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was met with indifference and apathy. Instead of acknowledging the issue and taking steps to rectify it, I was brushed off and told that there was nothing that could be done. To add insult to injury, when I requested a refund for the unsatisfactory beverage, I was outright refused.
This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction is simply unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect to receive value for my money and to be treated with respect and courtesy. It is clear that Hornitos Bakery has failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer service.
Needless to say, I am deeply disappointed and disillusioned by this experience. I had always held your restaurant in high regard, but after this incident, I can no longer in good conscience continue to patronize your establishment. It is truly unfortunate that a once-beloved dining spot has fallen so far from grace.
In conclusion, I urge you to seriously reconsider your approach to customer service and satisfaction. Refusing to issue a refund for a small beverage may seem trivial to you, but to me, it speaks volumes about the lack of integrity and accountability within your organization. Until I see meaningful changes in how customers are treated, I will be taking my...
Read moreI had high hopes for this local establishment. I try to support local, small businesses whenever possible but this was a miss for me and my group. I ordered takeout as we were having a craving for Colombian breads and drinks. My order was messed up and much of it was not tasty. The almojabana was missing from my order, the roscón with guava paste was replaced with a roscón with arequipe. The arepa de choclo con queso had an unexpected presentation, and tasted more like a very sweet corn muffin with corn kernels and a blob of cheese on top, it wasn’t good. The mantecada tasted store bought, no buttery taste at all, very artificial. The empanadas tasted stale. And the cherry on top was the expensive $6.50 Yerba Buena Lemonade which we ordered but received just a plain, sad lemonade - no Yerba Buena in taste or sight- we only ordered this because of the Yerba Buena as $6.50 for a lemonade (it was not large by any means) is crazy. The only tasty part of the order was the pan de bono hence the 2 stars. This was our first time ordering from this place and our last. And for those that care, many of the items came in styrofoam and plastic bags. They also used paper bags which makes me wonder why they don’t use more paper or other biodegradable packaging. Also putting hot food in styrofoam isn’t a good idea- the heat can cause the chemicals to leach from the styrofoam...
Read moreFood was good! I can't complain about that! But Be very careful with the extra Hidden Fees this place has to offer. When you're done eating, Even though you DO NOT pay your bill with a Credit Card & you pay CASH, this place will always try & sneak that CC Fee into your bill even though you paid cash. & Funny how the "TOTAL BILL" with All the Fees is Clearly Highlighted in BIG DARK BOLD Letters, but someone who wears glasses would Never notice what the total bill amount really is because it's Purposely written in the Smallest letters imaginable. Not to mention that 1 single cup of Orange 🍊 Juice that used to be $3.00 dollars has now gone up to $6.00. ("If you take a second & think about it, $6 Dollars for 1 measly Cup of Orange Juice is Preposterous!") Starting to notice this place is...
