It has been a while since we have been here and we were craving some ice cream! We decided to stop in and learned they were open until 9 pm. They have a wide variety of flavors. The moose tracks tasted good and the salted caramel. I decided to get the peanut butter one. If you get two scoops it is only a dollar more. I also opted to add the caramel chocolate bites but I didn't care for them because they were a little too hard for me. The peanut butter was delicious though. My husband got the peanut butter and chocolate one. He also added hot fudge on top. The factory area was closed I think because it was late on a sunday. They had tons of chocolate for sale but we didn't stay long because the kidd were getting fussy. The ice cream is amazing though! So creamy and delicious.

Take your 🍦🍧🍨 up a notch and go old school at Sanders! Located at the original Morley Chocolate store on Hall Rd. You'll find easy parking and only a few steps to ice cream and 🍫 heaven. All things Sanders chocolatey good! Yes, 🍰 the have bumpy cake (chocolate, vanilla and carmel). Tons of nuts, candies -- including small batch goodness. 😋 Treat yourself to a sundae, milkshake, malted, ice cream soda with or without 🧁. Sanders logoed hats, shirts, bags that would be a great gift to pick up with some Sanders candy or hot fudge topping to gift to someone you love.

I could feel my blood sugar level rising as soon as I walked in. My olfactory sense was ecstatic. My mouth started watering, too. The selection here is tremendous and fortunately not all milk chocolate but a solid mix of dark, too. I didn't see any white chocolate, however. There are offerings that aren't chocolate (for those "odd" people like my brother-in-law who doesn't like it) in case you are looking for a different flavor or even texture. Like ice cream. And pop. And cake.

A Sweet Nostalgic Haven: Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe

If you're from Michigan, you already know that Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe is a treasure trove of deliciousness and an integral part of our heritage. This place is the embodiment of the chocolate treats we all grew up with, and it continues to captivate our taste buds with its gourmet confections, heavenly baked goods, delectable dessert toppings, indulgent ice cream, and fine chocolates.

Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe has a rich history that dates back to 1875 when the visionary German-born Frederick Sanders Schmidt first opened a candy store in downtown Detroit. While there may be different claims about who invented the ice cream soda, one popular story suggests that Mr. Sanders substituted ice cream for sour cream, giving birth to this delightful treat. And let's not forget about their legendary hot fudge, which has become an iconic product based on their cherished family recipe.

Entering this delightful establishment, I was immediately enveloped in the irresistible aroma of chocolatey goodness. It felt like a homecoming, a nostalgic embrace that instantly transported me back to my childhood. Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe is not just a place to buy chocolates; it's an experience that rekindles memories and stirs the soul.

One thing that sets Sanders apart is their incredible variety. From classic favorites like Bumpy Cakes, the epitome of America's fun cakes, to a wide selection of chocolates, including their sugar-free options, there's something for every sweet tooth. I cannot stress enough how remarkable their hot fudge is—it's pure bliss on a spoon. The quality and craftsmanship that go into every Sanders creation are truly exceptional.

But it doesn't stop there. Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe also offers an observation area where you can catch a glimpse of their candy-making and packaging processes. It's a captivating sight to witness the meticulous care and attention that goes into crafting these delectable treats. Plus, they offer free tours and chocolate samples, making the experience even more delightful.

When it comes to gift-giving, Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe is an absolute game-changer. Their array of beautifully packaged gift options will leave you spoiled for choice. Whether you're searching for a heartfelt present or a token of appreciation, this is the place to find something truly special.

Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe is more than just a shop; it's a destination that embodies the spirit of Michigan and the love for chocolate. Visiting this place is like stepping into a world of sweetness, where every bite takes you on a journey down memory lane. So, if you're in search of an extraordinary chocolate experience, make sure to visit Sanders. You'll be reminded of the flavors that shaped your childhood and create new memories that will...

I worked 2nd shift through temp and was supposed to only be packing but they had me packing and working the line. I was going to stay and try to get use to the line but the old lady who does quality for 2nd shift is rude, cut me off while talking, and just annoying. I had my phone in my pocket because I didn’t have a lock for the lockers and people steal. I never took it out while working and only took it out to take a picture of the call in number AFTER my shift was done and I was speaking with the supervisor AFTER my shift ended. I had every intention on coming back for a 2nd day of work after speaking with the supervisor but the quality lady proceeded to talk down to me as if I was a child (I look really young but I’m in my early 30s) and tell me I’m not supposed to have my phone on the floor. The supervisor told her she said it was ok. Only for the quality lady to follow me up the stairs (I was getting my coat) and continue to lecture me. I told her in a friendly manner that I only had it on me to prevent it from being stolen and never took it out while working. She rudely cut me off and talked over me by saying “yeah, yeah” then continue to talk about why I shouldn’t have my phone. So, I didn’t come back bcuz she rubbed me the wrong way and like I said I was only supposed to be packing not working the line. I hate fast pace work and prefer to work at my own speed (just packing was perfect for that smh). But on the good side, most of staff is friendly and job is somewhat easy except 1 part of the machine line where you weigh the jars of candy which is really fast pace. I still would recommend applying through temp or company site if you want a semi-easy factory job and I hear the benefits are nice. Just stay away from that old angry miserable quality lady if you’re on 2nd shift. Sucks, bcuz I could’ve seen myself staying here for at least a few months but no job is worth being talked down to and rudely criticized especially on the 1st day AFTER I...

I have gone to Sanders and Morleys always for the holidays for years you have changed names and products who ever you are listening to forcwhat products your going to carry is very out of touch with your customer base. You missed the mark the things you were known for you don't carry I was just at your hall road store and when you hear multiple customers say the same thing you have cut down choices and replaces thing with chocolates that have nothing to do with the holiday. Very disappointed and I'm one customer who never complains I just don't but I feel strongly about this because your losing business and I don't think your paying attention listen to your customers you can hear it in your lobby I did. And that's not good for you people were commenting about not having all the cute Easter candy you used to carry and left to go somewhere else I did. To a private candy maker who has a little store but a big variety and it's easter Candy some of crap you carry now it's sad and your store presentation is very unwelcoming and I heard that from your customers through out the store they do not like the changes you need to listen to them. They won't write a review they will just stop coming this is what happens when your out of touch with your customer base. I will say this customer who has always spent alot of money and I have a huge family who has the same opinion will not be back. The changes you have made are not good at all and I'm sure your sales will reflect this because people don't always like to speak up they...
