Sunday, April 6th, 2025 it hurts me to say this because a once favorite spot, the Pantry on Hall Rd, the Pantry will be empty of us ever more. I can understand something not right, but everything was less than par. I do blame the server because she did not serve us she absolutely blew it. . I specifically expressed I couldn't wait for fresh squeezed oj on the menu. What they served me was from concentrate. A Florida gal I am and know the difference. If they were out, she could have told me, I would have understood but would not have ordered it.. They were slammed, so we expected to wait, but I did not expect poached eggs that looked like they were sitting on grits. The crepes my grand daughter ordered were gluey and unappealing, and my partner ordered an omelet, the only item that was hot, as his potatoes were cold, just like the crepes and poached eggs. The straw that broke me was asking for a coffee refill when our food arrived. It never came, nor did the server to see if all was ok. We weren't given the opportunity to set things right. Will not be back.

I use to go to The Pantry on vandyke all the on time when I was younger. Decided to go after work had a friend from out of town join me. I was disappointed. The pancakes had like 3 pieces of blueberry in them and they were next to each other not scattered around, idk what liquid was given with it I thought a syrup but not thickness just looks like juice. The bacon was crispy which I liked but flat and look fake. My friend enjoyed her meal. I most likely won’t return.

When I want a good German breakfast, this is where I go. A local family favorite for a very long time. Nobody makes a better omelette. The German pancakes are fantastic. If you haven't tried the homemade toast, you're missing out. The homemade toast with Dickinson Jam is a must-try. The fried potatoes were perfectly golden brown and excellent. For the price you can't go wrong, the ingredients are superb!

I had the worst experience ever at the location on Hall road in Clinton Twp . I was hurt and disappointed with the treatment from the owner she was just down right rude....I ordered the same meal at least twice a week and I bring my family and friends.Dont get me wrong the food good but if you don’t fee appreciate when you’re spending your money and the owner doesn’t care it’s now taken to another level. I came to the pantry to order there famous sweet potato pancakes I placed my order at 845 am picked up my food drove to work. .I didn’t check the bag but the food was wrong and I just wanted a replacement I love the pancakes the owner go on the phone and stated it wasn’t there error and I’m calling 3 hours later I told her I’m at work...the owner told me she’s not in business yogi e away free food and tried to tell me how many ask was she meaning out minority’s try to say we’re always trying to get something for free and that’s not the case she even said it was nothing he could do...those pancakes I’m sure may have cost 2 dollars. I told her she should follow the motto on her wall.....come in as friends leave as family you don’t stand for what you say...after going round and round she said she will give me free pancakes only and if it happens again she won’t help..... I’m going to get my pancakes and won’t go back again I was so disappointed she never said she was sorry... I never thought I would be treated at a location where they say there...

In the past, I loved the pantry. However, with my most recent visit on Father's Day, I was disappointed in the quality of food. It was decently busy due to Father's Day, which is to be expected, especially since they do not allow reservations. However, my party of 8 was seated right away at 0900am. Service was a lot slower than expected. We had waited quite some time for our silverware and napkins as we sipped our coffee. Our food took a while, which normally I have not experienced here. I was able to sip three cups of coffee while I waited for my water that never came and eventually my food. Our server was very nice but did not come around often. Coffee was frequently poured, as the staff did a good job at making sure cups were full. Our table did have to ask twice for more cream and sugar, considering the number of coffee drinkers. Once our food came, my party was disappointed in the overall appearance and taste of our food. The apple pancake, which is normally fluffy and sweet, was dense and instantly fell upon arrival to the table. The omelettes were smaller than I 4 they were a little runny and not very good. I did not eat much of mine considering. One of the sandwiches was missing cheese, and lastly, the side amount of bacon was very small.

This was the first time that I've had a negative experience at this location. I am more than understanding that it was a busy day, but overall, the quality of food was severely...

I’m a former employee of the Hall Rd location and I was let go for putting in my 2 week notice as any professional employee would. The owner hires special needs employees just to make them do all the dirty jobs that her FOUR general managers don’t want to do as they sit around doing nothing. They also mistreat the special needs employees by forcing them to do jobs their doctors specifically said they can’t do because they have scoliosis. My very first week of working I was groped by my private parts in the walk-in refrigerator by one of the cooks and when I made the owner aware she brushed it off and continues to praise this employee although he’s one of the worst workers there. She makes all people of color and special needs do EVERYTHING while the others get to be on their phones (we’re not even allowed to be on our phones even during our designated breaks I NEVER get to take), they sit around eating and never really do any work. The owner sits at home watching us non stop on the cameras pointing fingers instead of doing anything beneficial for the company. They bully people at this establishment because it’s nothing but a bunch of entitled morons running a business. Basically the owner is a racist, narcissist, old bitter woman who doesn’t care about the people she’s just money hungry. Please stop supporting such a trash company if you eat there! Nothing is homemade either. It either comes...
