Salsa's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Clinton

Went to have dinner with my family, including my father who came to visit for an event. Service was terrible and the food, just forget about it. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come over and take our order. Once she took our order, we didn’t wait too long to receive our food. Another waitress who came to drop off our food, was asking who had ordered what. My brother informed her that he believes he had ordered a burrito, because what was presented Definitely did not look like a burrito, and she retorts by saying “you don’t remember what you ordered”. It was UNBELIEVABLE! I mean, as first timers, we had no idea what the food was going to look like, but the waitress should KNOW who ordered what. The same waitress that brought out our food ended up just throwing the food at us and walked away very irritated. My family and I continue to eat. When we needed to leave, we needed to go to the register to pay the bill. My father was very disappointed with the food quality and service, so he paid a 13% tip. The person behind the register was like “you’re only paying 13% tip? “ and my dad said yes. It was ABSURD how he tried shaming and guilting my father for a higher tip for the most awful Mexican food and rude service. My suggestion is for management to pay their employees betters and hire better cooks. I say that this restaurant will not probably shut down because it’s the ONLY Mexican place in town, but coming from Texas, it was truly the worst Mexican food I’ve had. If only they would have had better service, they would have received a 3-star rating from me. Otherwise, now it’s a 1-star...

Would give this 0 stars if possible. Drive all the way from Texas to meet family. Ordered a frozen margarita and was told they were not frozen enough...got it anyway because that is what i wanted (their problem, not mine). Now granted this is the 23rd and they were not busy at all for 5:30 pm. The rest of my family gets their drinks and 10 minutes pass...no drink order for me....not even a glass of water. Waitress seemed to be in a "huff" with us also. Ordered nachos, ground beef with jalapeños, onions, tomatoes, etc. What i get was blobs of ground beef on chips with no vegetables. I ask and they tell me that vegetables only come with shredded beef..so shredded beef gets toppings, but ground beef doesn't? After an unnecessary discussion I received my vegetables and they were good. My other family member got chicken strips and they were over cooked and hard. No sauce with it as advertised. Wife got some meal and didn't finish because it was bland. If we didn't meet family there we would have walked out because service and food quality were not great. I have been eating Mexican cuisine for over 30 years at many fine establishments throughout the US to include Texas. This was subpar and not worth the money. Please also be bilingual and cordial..dont want to serve us..dont...

Honestly one of the worst experiences that I've had at a restaurant. The server looked irritated and barely audible when she took our order and she looked as if she hated her job already. Secondly after getting our drink and food order which we placed together, instead of bringing or beverages, she cleaned off all the tables around and I had to ask for our beverages because my wife is the quiet one and didn't say anything. Third off all the our food came out and it wasn't what we ordered at all. We reiterated what we wanted to eat again, waited over 30 minutes just for my wife's food to literally be a complete different order, which was WRONG AGAIN...and as for me I didn't get any food. We paid for our drinks and left. And at the end of all that the server had the audacity to have an attitude with us because she continuously messed up the orders. And if anyone is wondering what we ordered. I ordered a shrimp and steak happy plate with no veggies and my wife ordered steak fajitas with a side of shrimp...
