Pally's Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Clive

Well I'll start with what made me kind of... uncomfortable. First thing, I needed to use the restroom. Immediately from the moment I walked through the door and all the way until I got to the bathroom I felt like everyone was staring at me. Then, again from the bathroom until I took my seat at the bar. Mind you, I'm not a unique-looking person so maybe it was my attire - shorts and a Hawaiian shirt with a dark jacket covering most of the shirt. Idk maybe that's weird for a sunny and 70° Friday afternoon? 🤷 All I can say is maybe this place is more low-key...like really low-key....possibly clicky? "We don't like your kind" type of folk lol. I mean that playfully btw. I never felt I was in any danger or being served poorly because of my....well idk what it was they didn't like lol. Okay, having said alllll that, I can't stress enough that my service was wonderful! The bartender was very friendly and she helped me immediately! So I started with a pint of Ruthie and proceeded to look at the menu. I settled on the Reuben pizza. Man, was it delicious! I know not everyone is a fan of a Reuben but if you are this pizza is the perfect taste! Despite the first part I would definitely try this place again. They had some spicy items on the menu that I would love to...

I just moved to the area and was really craving a patty melt. Based off reviews I tried this restaurant - it wasn’t good. I spoke to the employee at the restaurant (didn’t give her name) a couple of times and she was awesome. Honestly, her service was the only reason why I didn’t give one star. She answered all of my questions patiently even though she was the only one working. Please give her recognition for her customer skills. Patty melt was both dry and greasy, lacking flavor, and had very little cheese. The fries look and taste like what you can get from the freezer section at your grocery store…just overly salted. However the biggest disappointment was the pasta salad. I love a good pasta salad and this was not even close. It was literally rotini pasta drowning in store bought dressing with a few bits of carrot and black olives. The service was great but the food definitely...

Worst bar I have ever been in. The bathroom was like a 7 year old room, smelled like urine and unkept. Completly unprofessional atomosphere and I have found it serves minors. The owner's family thought it was completly ok to use violence to remove patrons. I witnessed two men having drinks, one appeard to be taking pictures of girls, and they threw him out. Great, agreed! Then the other male was finishing his pool game which he was unaware of the man taking pictures, get bullied out, pushed, by a young man that kept screaming this is my family's bar! It led into the parking lot when the man was leaving and the family friends started pushing him and telling him to leave (which is what he was trying to do). I have never seen such a unfriendly atmosphere, if you enjoy drinking with children, this is the place to go. I will never bring my family or friends here again.....
