I've been going to this store since 2019. They always cut my hair great 5/5! On August 16th I signed up online to go in and get a haircut. I come from Norwalk iowa so its around a 20 minute drive to get there. The online service sent me text messages saying my stylist was ready at 4:14pm and I got there around two minutes after that. I was at the top of the board inside however at 4:18 it took me off. I went to talk to one of the stylists who usually give me great service but this time was very different. I told her that the board took me off (this has happened before but they helped me and got me in) and that I would just like to be placed with a stylist. She told me that the board will take me off if I do not sign in quick enough and that she "does not control the board." She then went on to state that I could sign back in and that they had 3 stylists on it would be "quick." I signed back in and it put me 4th or 5th on the board with a wait time of around 40 minutes. When the stylists came back up (instead of helping me like other stylists had done in the past) she called other people who were originally behind me. This was just very frustrating. Usually people here are very helpful especially when it comes to the online check-in problems. Read moreI only post reviews if service was well above expected or really off, and unfortunately this visit didn’t go very well. I work in retail and totally understand the feeling you get when somebody walks in 5 minutes before close, so I make a point to never be that person. Their store hours indicate they are open until 8pm so I figured arriving at 6 pm...2 full hours before close wouldn’t be an issue. There were 3 staff members working when I walked in and 2 ahead of me sitting down, but I was told that If I didn’t have an appointment already made they aren’t taking any more people tonight. I found this to be very odd and just left, but I know I won’t be recommending this location to anybody. I’ll take 4/5 star haircut from somebody super nice and cared about potential repeat business clients (I’m a very loyal shopper and this was my first visit after moving here) than a 5/5 haircut from somebody that doesn’t value customer service. When I arrived to the appointment I wasn’t sure where to check in since I had done everything via the website and didn’t think I needed to download the app. There was no one to direct me to a kiosk so I just sat down with my son. I saw that we were next in line with a 5 minute wait but when one of the stylists came to the front desk she basically just stared at me like I had done something wrong. I said I had never been there before so I wasn’t sure how to check in. She acted annoyed and showed me how to check in, so I did, and then she took the next person in line back instead of us, adding 30+ minutes to our wait time.
