McDonald's — Restaurant in Clute

Ive been wanting to write this review for awhile now. BUT, I thought I'd let the dirt keep piling on just to see how bad it could get.

Let's start with the drive thru line. Normally it takes me 30-45 minutes to get through it (based on the 8 times ive gone to this one over the course of a year).

When i'm at the menu ordering, they'll have my whole order correct and even repeat everything back to me correctly. Then I get to the first window. They give me a reciept with some crazy REMIX of my original order, or just plain leave a bunch of stuff off.

Then i get to the second window. They continue to serve me an incorrect order, and 90% of the time they say nothing to me. Not, "Here ya go" or "Have a nice day", not a single word is spoken most of the time. So they just throw (yes, my bag of food was thrown into my car one time) my food at me and close their window. How am I supposed to know they're done giving me my order? So I sit there and wave at them, only for them to say something like, "You need something?". Yeah... I need what I payed for....

If this was a one time thing, It'd be okay, it happens. But like I said this was the EIGHTH TIME this same thing has happened. This place and its staff are the literal embodiment of hell.

QUICK STORY TIME! Once at this same location, I ordered an ice cream cone. A single cone. They had everything going right until they told me to drive up PAST the second window, where you wait for them to finish your order. I kid you not, I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for my ice cream cone that I never got. So I left.

I'm not one to write negative reviews. Or any reviews. But this place almost gave me the nerve to make about FIFTY NEW GOOGLE ACCOUNTS so I could review bomb. But I didn't need to, everyone else...

I work and live across the street from this McDonalds and I have a toddler, so we eat there quite often. The convenience is honestly not worth it anymore. I have eaten there probably 20 times this year alone, and nearly every time they get at least one thing wrong. (Missing toy in happy meal, no fries, ask for s&s sauce and get bbq, etc). And it usually takes longer to get the food than what you would expect for a McDonalds. But after today, we will not go back. My husband ordered a McGriddle w extra bacon. When we got it, it had NO bacon. "Ok, that's weird, but let's go back and ask them to fix it." So we went back. The manager gave us one strip of bacon. So my husband says, "Thank you, but we ordered extra bacon, so can we get one more?" She proceeds to argue about how one strip is extra, and husband continues to try to explain that we ordered extra, but got zero. She eventually gives us another piece, but when we got it back to the car it was cold like it had just been in the fridge. We were already half an hour late to where we were going because of this, so we just gave up and didn't go back again. My husband and I highly respect people who work in the food industry as we know first hand how frustrating and tiring it can be. However, I would have never spoken to a customer the way she spoke to him. This was the last...

Do not order your food from this place! Just take the extra 10 minutes to go to Freeport's location. Or really any other McDonald's in the area. I can set my watch by the fact that when I make an order, I can guarantee it will be majorly wrong in one way or another. Half the time they won't even speak to you at the speaker in the drive through. And the classic "Our ice cream machine is broken" has been confirmed by the one good employee they have (don't know their name but I hope to see them any time I decide to give this place another try) that it's simple laziness that has that machine "broken". It wasn't down for cleaning, it wasn't actually broken, the other employees just didn't want to use the machine so they said it was broken. That farce was promptly proven wrong by this unknown star employee. But all in all, if you want to get only half of what you ordered and paid for or if you want the order to be wrong altogether, this is the place to go. Who knows, maybe that's the excitement in your life you crave...I...
