Colchester Donut and Cafe — Restaurant in Colchester

We were craving a burger so I went to the Cafe and ordered a Mega Burger figuring we could cut it in half and share it. As with all the other offerings, this burger was outstanding and an excellent value. A massive double burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo with choice of cheese (we opted for American) and an equally massive pile of real french fries (no by products, just taters) for a mere $13 bucks? I have had many of the meals and sandwiches at this establishment who also make the best plain stick donuts I have ever had and everything is always fresh, prepared on the spot and equivilent to home style cooking, I can say without reservation that Colchester Donut and Cafe is easily the best breakfast, lunch, dinner and donut shop in town and always my first choice....

We are so lucky to have a place like Colchester Donuts & Cafe locally. Definitely try this place out. I say this selfishly because I want them to thrive and stay. Everything is made from scratch. It’s not just bakery type stuff. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We went for a late lunch. The gyros were sooooo good. The vegetable soup with chicken had so many vegetables and great broth. The lemon donut and honey bun were soft and well flavored. Everything was incredibly reasonably priced too. Which, in this economy? Absolutely worth supporting.

Colchester is so lucky to have this gem! It's great to have something different in town offering flavorful Mediterranean options. Everything I have tried has been fresh and delicious. My favorites have been the chicken gyro salad, beef/chicken gyro, and hummus. I have also tried their breakfast and donuts and they are just as good! Can't wait to try more from their menu.
