Gung Ho — Restaurant in Colchester

Very poor service. My wife ordered her favorite dish, Pad Tai, (our first time here) and it was very spicy, so much so she could not eat it all. I tried it and had the same reaction. Never hot and spicey in other restaurants so my wife assumed it would be the same here; not at all. When questioned, the server shut down, would not speak to us. She did not attack him verbally, but asked if the chef always prepared it that way., "I'll check " was the answer, but we never got it. The server never asked if she would like it mild, medium or spicey. We ordered a pot of tea and it came with ONE tea bag. The hostess came over to see what was going on, my wife explained the situation and her response was, " there was a chilepepper symbol next to it on the menu" my wife responded that she had ordered that dish at other restaurants and really did not notice it since she's never had to question it. When we left, I gave the server a good tip sa I felt the management should have done a better job training him, but he did not thank us for coming, nor wished us a pleasant remainder of our day. This movie has been a really big impact on my life and now the Smurfs are a very big part of my life and who I am, I loved it to pieces when I first saw it. My mom past away in 2011 and this movie along with the Smurfs themselves really cheered me up and made me feel like me again, the musical score, the characters, the story, the effects, the magic, the Smurfs themselves, everything about this movie was incredible. Papa Smurf is definitely my favorite, but after taking a quiz on the Smurfs website I found out that Gutsy Smurf is the one I am most like which is more than enough for me. You have to see this movie, it's adorable, it's cute, it's adventurous, it's sweet, it screams family, it's magical, it's blue. These little cuties might just make you think that the world is a lot larger than you think and it might even change your perspective on family. You'll even love the song in the end credits too. I'm sorry Going Ho but you continue to disappoint year after year. Table ware- needed to be asked for multiple times, even after food had arrived. Food quality - poor. Portion sizes -poor. Prices - inflated. Tonight's experience included all the above with the addition of unsanitary service - wait staff carried and served glass wear with fingers gripping the INSIDE of the glasses. Food temperature - luke warm. Soda- flat. Attitude of wait staff - poor and dismissive of our complaints. Want so very much to support local business, but we are done with DUNG HO. Believe it or not, we do have other options and choices for Chinese Restaurants. Owners.....please have an in-service with waite staff about proper customer service, as well as how to to provide sanitary service.
