O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Cold Spring

It was around 8pm and we were on our way home from an event. We decided to stop at the O'Charley's in Alexandria because it's parking lot was almost empty so we figured we could get a table fast. When we walked in 2 of the staff members were at the host stand and asked how many people we had. I told them 5. They looked at the dinning area then started to argue where to seat us because all of the larger tables except 1 was dirty. However, it was not the turn of the server who had the only clean table that could accommodate us. Finally one of them said well the other server would have to deal with it because she didn't have any clean tables we could fit at. When our server came out she seemed to be in a bad mood as she took our drink order. After delivering all our drinks she disappeared for a while. We were all ready to order as we had been there for probably at least 25 minutes at this point. We all started to look around for our server. There were only a handful of other tables with customers in the whole restaurant and of those, there was only 1 other table in her area with customers. We had been looking around for a while when another server who had seen us looking came over to help. At that point our server finally appeared and yelled angrily to the other server "If you really want that table that bad then just take it" then they both stormed off. We were shocked. At this point we had 2 different arguments from staff happen right in front of us, plus we had been left sitting wondering when we were going to get to order food. The only person that had acted professional at all was the other server who was trying to be helpful only to have our server flip out on her. As soon as this happened my daughter was quietly telling me she could not believe how bad service was. After a couple more minutes our server came back and asked if we were ready to order. We told her our orders and she went to put them in. Finally, after a while our food came out. It was not hot like it had just gotten done cooking, but it was warm so we ate it without any complaints. Our server checked on us within a few minutes of us getting our food, and then did not come back the entire time we were eating. A few of us needed drink refills but when she came back she asked if we would be splitting the check and if we wanted boxes. She paid no attention to the empty glasses on the table. We answered her questions and my son spoke up and asked her if she could bring him a tea to go. She agreed and brought back some boxes and his tea, along with checks. My daughter begged me not to leave a tip due to horrible service. Having worked in a sit down restaurant before I know that the servers rely on tips, and sometimes people have a bad day. So I made sure we left a tip. However, it was not the 25% that I would have normally left if we would have had good service. I don't plan to ever go back to...

Missing food from my order Cold Spring, KY. When I called about it, the manager Nate said driver forgot it and food was sitting there. If driver forgot it then why didn't someone contact the driver or why not call me and I can notify the driver? It is because the driver didn't forget the employee at the restaurant forgot to give it to him. So I drive down to get the rest of my food. By now, half my family went ahead and ate. My husband waited to eat with me. I get to O'Charlie's pickup food and go back to my house. My food was cold, my husband's was cold. You would have thought the manager would have offered to replace the order with fresh food or refund the amount the amount of the missing food, since it was cold. Instead I get 2 coupons for 2 free slices of pie. Unbelievable. Never again will I come back to this place. Below is what I ordered and noted what was missing.

I hadn't been to this location in quite some time and to say I was less than impressed was an understatement.

First, we had the pleasure of witnessing an argument in the dining room between what I assume was kitchen staff yelling across the restaurant at the employees who were at the hostess station. In turn, they decided to respond rather loudly to his comments.

Food came out and not only was it lackluster in presentation, but portion sizes did not seem to be what they used to be. The 6 oz sirloin was so "petite" that my 7 year old grandson finished his entire meal and was still hungry.

I order a medium rare burger which came out not med-rare but actually raw. I showed this to my server whose main response was what did I want to do about it.

I asked for a recook and the second burger came out cooked properly, but this one was extremely overseasoned. I did not bother to say anything because I was hungry and the kids were finished and were getting bored.

I received little in the form of an apology, nor did anyone come to check in a timely manner to make sure the problem had been corrected.

It will definitely be the last time I visit this location. Not sure if short staffing or management issues are the problem, but this restaurant does not even seem remotely close to the same place I used to like to frequent when I make it up...
