Table for 2 for lunch Approaching the restaurant, I noticed limited parking, only a few spaces in front. Arriving during a busy lunchtime, no spots were available. I drove up Main Street and found a paid parking lot which used the Park Mobile app. The area wasn't huge, but a nearby person was guiding people to available spots.  After securing parking, I walked a block to the restaurant, where I met my friend. We opted for the covered outside seating and our friendly server quickly took our drink orders.  We reviewed the menu as we were talking. I chose the Cuban sandwich with Tater Tots, and my friend ordered the Grilled Shrimp Taco meal with tortilla chips. The food arrived promptly, and we dug right in. I thoroughly enjoyed my Cuban sandwich; the meat was tender and seasoned nicely. My friend enjoyed his Taco meal, but mentioned it would have been better and more filling with 3 tacos, instead of just the 2. We continued catching up, eating, and enjoying the weather on the covered patio. I noticed BrakePad had a couple of smaller indoor dining areas, in addition to the outside covered patio where we were eating which had roll up garage doors that let in the sun and occasional breeze.  The garage doors, I am guessing, are inline with the Brake Pad/Mechanic theme.  Overall, it was a very good experience and I would return if I am in the area.

The food A1. Service is bias. They cater and nice to some but rude; for example ignoring questions, taking your order far away standing buy the cash register etc. I literally don't want Service from this guy anymore. When I told him my food was placed in the box completely open with the condiments just thrown in there he said oh it must have came open when I handed it to you it had grease on the outside of the box as literally I'm talking to people who do not look like .... It makes me uncomfortable. Also I had to tell them 3 times that every time I called the restaurant I couldn't place order only on today another white guy was working behind the bar and he said oh let me check the phone then he checked the phone and called it himself I told him your Google numbers not working I've been calling for 3 days I've said that there's so many of them and they just ignore it if I own this place I would hire somebody to watch Everybody in there... I'm using voice to text and I'm not even editing this post because they're literally not worth it.... I keep adding to the post as as I experience something I remember to tell you guys I ordered my burger medium well because I wanted to travel well for my lunch but it is literally extra rare that guy

Had a dinner meeting with a colleague and we decided to meet at Brake Pad. I love the small town feel of the restaurant with its rustic look and inside/outside seating. Upon being seated the waitress was at the table within moments. Image was able to provide some good insight on the menu and make some great suggestions. I decided on the Egg Rolls for an Appetizer, Sweet Tea to drink, and a Burger for my main meal. The Sweet Tea was a true down home experience. Each sip provides a down home feel with homemade flavor. An absolute thirst quenching pleasure. The Egg Rolls are super meaty with an abundance of flavor and provide a great eats experience. Perfectly fried, these bites are pleasing to the soul. LoL! But serious, they give you the crisp of a chip with the perfect crunch and abundance of meat! A Must Try! The Burger was another great eat. Perfectly crafted, super meaty, a great grade of meat, and a blend of seasonings that make each bite a hidden pleasure of enjoyment. No matter if you want a quick bite or a full meal, Brake Pad has something to offer. Great Food. Good Service. Awesome Experience.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Just moved to East Point. Came to College Park for dinner and came to the Brake Pad twice. The first time it was busy, but the bartender behind the bar rolled his eyes when I asked to place cheese on my Rachel sandwich (I had originally asked for no cheese). He warmed up by the time my to go order came out, but he was struggling in the beginning. I simply chalked it up to being overwhelmed and busy. Compare this to my second time.

(August 15, 2022 @ 6:20pm - 6:40pm) The second time a white woman bartender, in a black Tshirt with leopard print RUN DMC on the front, got upset at me for staring at her. She was in the process of asking a non-patron to leave the restaurant. A scenario that seemed confrontational and uncomfortable for all parties involved. The woman whom she asked to leave came by my husband and I’s table. She spoke with us, making us laugh, unrelated to the bartender. The bartender stood close to the bar and stared at this woman as she communicated with us. As the woman left the patio, the bartender condescendingly screamed across the patio “bye” with a smirk on her face. You could tell she was frustrated by the incident between the two of them. She then proceeded to look me in my face and condescendingly state “hi” with a smirk and a wave. I took grave offense to her passive aggressive tone and posture. As a customer you should NEVER be mocked or disrespected.

At the end of my husband and I’s dinner, I chose to speak with her calmly and politely to understand if she really meant to speak to me, a customer, like such. Shockingly, she doubled down! She said she in fact meant it for me because I was “cackling” with the woman. I calmly asked her how she even knew what we were speaking about and she responded “you were staring at me”. I told her my disappointment and the first words out of her mouth, as she continued to cut me off, were “let’s agree to disagree”. She was combative, rude, dismissive, and clearly still upset at someone else and taking it out on me.

I get this is NOT five star dining and you clearly won’t get five star service, but for a bartender/waitress/employee to be so BOLD and speak to a PAYING customer like she did is truly unacceptable. I have been a bartender and waitress at a neighborhood small town bar and I would NEVER forget the first rule of customer service - your customer is ALWAYS right. I had patrons call me out of my name and I never treated them the way I was treated (for context - there were patrons who would use the N-word in front of me and I kept cool).

I will never frequent this restaurant again and expect a phone call from the owner immediately.

I must say, the food at this establishment has always been excellent, but the service not so much. The most basic of orders typically take a half hour or more to come out.

This last visit on 8/10/16 was the absolute worst I've ever experienced. The 45 minute mark post-ordering had just approached, and 3 other tables that had been seated after us all received their food, by the same exact waiter serving us. During this time we weren't checked on a single time nor was there any apology about the long wait.

My colleague finally approached the waiter to ask about our food, only to receive a rude, unapologetic response and a retort about whether or not we were asking a question or making a statement about the wait...wth?

After a 4TH table seated after us received their food, from the same waiter, again...I also approached him and inquired about our order, receiving the same rude response and a nonsensical explanation about "how the kitchen works". We ended up walking out of the restaurant another couple minutes later.

Watch out for this rude waiter if you choose to visit Brake Pad...I recommend avoiding him at all cost. Bald head, long scraggly beard, looks like he could miss a meal or two...His beard alone must be a health code violation, that is unless you like a healthy sprinkling of crusty human hair atop your burger.

It's ashame that a restaurant with such great food has such poor service...

I just left having lunch with my friends. Once the waitress came to the table she was very dry and didn’t welcome us at all! After getting our food and drinks it took the waitress 50 minutes to come back to the table to ask us if we needed anything. After ordering again we waited another 40 minutes to get our order while empty plates and cups are still on the table! After finally getting ready to check out, we waited an additional 45 minutes to get our checks which we had to go find the waitress to bring our checks. We brought it up to the manager Katie attention and she was very Rude and treated us like second class citizens compared to how she treated the other customers who were WHITE! She told us after we said we are unhappy with the service, she said “Don’t come back”. Wow is this customer service? You telling paying customers don’t come back after we have been giving bad service since we sat down! As a successful business owner myself in the entertainment and digital marketing community, I am surprised, shocked, and taken back by the service me and my friends experienced today! This is my third time coming here and the other two times it was great service but today it was totally different! Everyone should know the service me and friends experienced today! DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION! I want a direct response from the OWNER before I take...
