Savi Provisions — Restaurant in College Park

Been here several times because it is a nice quiet place to sit down at for being an airport. The food is good enough for being at the airport. The male bartender that I have been assisted by the last couple of times is friendly and efficient. However the rest of service is terrible! Everyone that work there seems to hate their job. According to their opening hours they are suppose to open at 7 am. Last time I went there I walked up at 7.10 am and there was a line of about 10 ppl outside since they had not yet opened. You could see the staff inside. No sense of urgency, no acknowledgment, no “we will be with you shortly”. Today also a Saturday I decided to give them a second try and I walked up at 7.05 am, not yet opened. At 7.10 am I asked the staff inside when they would open and they said “in about 15 minutes”. Inside the restaurant, again the staff with no urgency one of the staff was even sitting down eating take out at one of the tables. I could see that they decided to open at 7.20 am. Our server Deryka was sweet and talkative and so amazing she gave us recommendations she truly deserves a raise with how well she treats customers i wish i could give her alone 5 stars becasue she was truly great, and the service was fast and smooth, but the food here is sooo bad. The latte is bitter (not just regular coffee bitter but bad espresso beans bitter). We got the salmon bagel, the pro breakfast, and the French toast. The only thing we could fully finish was the French toast. I couldn't keep drinking my coffee after 4 sips. The salmon bagel made my brother sick after two bites, and the rest of the breakfast was no better than cheap hotel food. Whoever owns this place needs to make major efforts to revamp the ingredients used, update the recipes, and better the food and drinks here. I wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Total disappointment! Expensive beer, ordinary food for a place that tries to be a “fancy” airport restaurant, and absolutely terrible service.

I felt uncomfortable asking for anything. A staff member got irritated when I placed my carry-on next to me—where else should I put it at an airport restaurant? I plugged in my charger at an empty side table, and the server told me to either move seats or unplug it. Completely unwelcoming.

My food was dropped off with no utensils or napkins. I had to wait and track someone down just to get the basics—how is that not automatic? I still tipped out of habit, but it really wasn’t deserved. It feels like they assume they’ll get a tip no matter what.

The food itself wasn’t even restaurant quality. The only upside is the nice view overlooking the airplanes and runway. Not nearly enough to make up for the rest. The beer was even more expensive than west coast haha.
