Andy Choe store manager is the rudest person I have ever encountered at a Starbucks.
-I personally give this store over $1200 a year and I haven't had any issues except for the past 5 weeks or so.
-I always ask for the same drink and I ask for stevia in my cup. Usually they are pretty good about it but some days they are not. I just say "hey can you please make sure it is in the cup bc the past few times it hasn't."Usually not a problem but today it was. Unless Andy is working and overseas every drink I get at that store (which would make me pretty special and I'm not), he has no idea. He had the nerve to call me a liar not once but twice. At the drive thru and over the phone. When I was in line In the drive thru i asked for it in the cup nicely and cordially. The person on the headset said I'll give it to you on the side, I said nicely I don't want it on the side. He cut me off and said I'll give it to you on the side, I said again I don't want it on the side, he did it again and I got stern and said No I don't want it. It wasn't yelling but stern bc the person wasn't listening (which I think it was Andy). I ask for it in the cup for a reason. I AM DRIVING and I don't want to make a mess. If you ask for a drink a certain way which mine is so simple it shouldn't be an issue. That is my whole point.
I get to the window and Andy is standing there with my coffee and said don't worry about it. That was a nice gesture and I said thank you. I said you know it's just stevia but if I ask for it in the cup it shouldn't be an issue. Then he begins to threaten me. He said if I yell (which I didn't) that he won't allow me back at the store? I found this whole thing bizzare and it pissed me off. He severely lacks people skills and doesn't know how to have a conversation. I wouldn't be surprised if he has had issues with this Observation before. I did not do anything wrong except the one word I used that I I later apologized but the perception I got was he wanted to throw his weight around and let me know who is boss and try to intimidate me. He cut me off, didn't listen to me, called me a liar, and threatened me. I asked for the manager card. He gave me his. Really? Why would I want your card. I called Starbucks corporate and filed a complaint with them and got Denise as the district manager. I tried to talk to him and he said "you are holding up my line".....well he was the one that started it. He was bitter and rude.
I decided to call him after I filed a complaint with Starbucks and tried to explain what was going on. He again called me a liar, kept cutting me off, and I kept saying "can you please let me finish"... I told him I find it completely laughable that he called me a liar bc what do I have to gain? Also I asked him if he overseas every drink? Also, I let him know he severely lacks listening skills and to not cut ppl off and the customer is always right. He said he was right. He pretty much told me I don't know the different between unsweetened coffee and and sweetened by how was he talking to me. Really dude? When I said he doesn't know how to talk on the phone, he said I didn't. I work for a large company and it's my job to talk to ppl. I get paid for a living doing it. He was combative. He had an attitude and I told him I would I would never come back bc of his attitude and he said "good".... I really don't understand why he got his panties in a bunch over stevia. I am not a liar, there are days when I ask and it isn't in my cup in the drive thru, Friday at 7:30am (11/17) was the last time. Unless he is there every single day I go through the drive thru, unless he personally overseas every drink I get there, he has no right. Frankly, I have never seen this man, I have never talked to this man in my year of going there. Everyone for the ls nice except this person. He has no business in being a store manager. He lacks the skills required, he is rude, and has an attitude.
On yelp and google people had similar experience with drinks and rude ppl....but...
Read moreA decade I've been enjoying the Java Chip Frappuccino. Some more delicious than others. Sometime I would have the beverage and wonder why it tasted different, yet remained good.
I ordered one yesterday from the Cherry Hill location; my first visit there. The counter attendant, I believe the manager, asked if I wanted coffee in it. I exclaimed "I've never been asked that". She explained they make two Java Chip Frappuccino's--one with coffee, the other without. Wow! "Ten years of enjoying the drink, I've never been asked/offered." We discussed the difference, and she thought that may have been the taste difference in the past--none of the stores ask, and pour randomly.
I informed the attendant, "I want the boldest taste." She recommended the coffee added frappuccino, and ask that I provide a response/critique.
Coffee added it was. "YES! THAT IS IT!! That's the bold taste I love." I shouted to her.
I m grateful she informed me of the two ways to prepare the drink, and I will always request "with coffee". Thank you Cherry Hill Store for the education. Thank you Starbucks for the Cherry Hill...
Read moreI can’t believe that I’m writing this but the attitude of the baristas here has left me shell shocked. As a Black woman, I feel completely treated unfairly by the other women of color that work here. They did not care to take my order seriously but made sure to take the orders of everyone else in the store seriously. I saw white patrons attended to with great care and respect. It’s like they wouldn’t attend to me unless I humiliated myself by making a scene. Their attitudes to me voicing a problem were rude and unconcerned. And when I finally did get the order they purposely made it taste horribly bitter.
This is the second time I’ve had this happen, where the person I was with had to honk loudly for them to pay attention to us. They seem to be extremely anti-Black here and these are Black/Mixed girls themselves working. And they have an ironically giant Black Lives Matter flag so why is my Black life not mattering? They need training for their obvious prejudices and biases.
This is the weirdest Starbucks I’ve ever had the unfortunate chance...
