For my first time eating at Sweetgreen, I’m very disappointed. I placed my order online for pickup. I give the service a 4 because they lady greeted me as I entered the pickup area. I give the atmosphere a 3 because I did not eat in but got a glimpse of it with it being a small location.
I gave my food a 2 because it was not presentable, portion, tastiness. I got 2 kids meal for my daughter (2 just in case she didn’t like anything) & sweet potatoes for me because I was craving it and the picture online looked so appealing. Before I give my daughter food, I always taste test first. When opening up the kids meal, I was very disappointed. The mini mezze- portion was set up for a baby just getting to eat solids in my opinion. The tortilla chips were stale and looked like the remains in the bottom of the bag, the cucumbers were cut poorly and the chicken seemed to be as if it was leftovers.
Ranchy chicken + rice Was more presentable then the kids meal above; however, the chips were also looking like crumbs, the chicken taste like left overs. The rice and the sauce were the only 2 things that my daughter ate and she loves bite sized chicken so to see her not eat the chicken, I knew it wasn’t me.
The sweet potatoes- also seemed like they were not fresh; however, it tasted better than any other thing I ordered.
I really wanted to like sweetgreen because I hear great things and I thought today would be the day as I transition my daughter and I to a more healthy eating lifestyle.
I recommend to eat in and/or to pay attention to your takeout food to ensure you don’t go...
Read moreA colleague suggested we meet there for a working lunch. The problems: -I ordered and paid online. They have the online orders sitting by the door and you find your name and take your order. But anyone could come in, take multiple orders, and leave. -I could not find parking because there was no dedicated parking lot, just two spaces for delivery drivers. I drove around for 10 minutes. Finally saw there was paid parking behind the stores on the next block. No sign on the Sweetgreen door to tell anyone this. If I had not already ordered and paid, honestly I would have left without going in. There was no way my colleague and I could sit and talk in there because it was SO. LOUD. Music with a deep bass track and incredible noise from the open kitchen. Silverware being thrown around, cooking noises, talking. And since it is a very small place with an open kitchen, it is SO. LOUD. So loud. The only people I saw eating at the limited seating were sitting by themselves, so I guess those who know this place know not to come for a meal together.... I figure this place is geared towards college students who live in the apartment building behind it or who walk there from the university. Also maybe for people who want to pick up their food and park illegally for a few minutes, like I saw someone else do. The good stuff: I only had a few bites of my salad since I decided to go home and keep it for dinner. But it did taste good and all the ingredients...
Read moreDue to the cov-id19 situation and the timeframe I ordered the food online, it was necessary for me to order the food online from the College Park Maryland Sweetgreen online for pickup if I wanted a Sweetgreen salad. By 640 pm Monday March 16 2020 I ordered a Garden Cobb salad for pickup which came with avocado, roasted sweet potatoes, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, red onions, blue cheese, roasted almonds, organic mesclun, chopped romaine, balsamic vinaigrette. If you order the item to be pickedup through online portal notification is given in the email of the amount of minutes a person’s order is held after the order is ready for pickup (my email gave a 30 minute timeframe). I traveled at least 2 miles from where my husband and I currently live to pick up the salad and fortunately the salad still tasted delish by the time I received it. I paid for this salad with money made from my current place of employment though I keep an open mind to both paid professional reviewers and those who write...
