Great place to grab boba. Gong Cha has always been a great go-to boba place for me, and now that College Park has one I've gone almost ten times within the last three weeks. This Gong Cha is located in the Spot Mini under Terrapin Row, which is near Commons 1 and a little bit off of Route 1 and it is pretty convenient for people living near T-Row. While the boba can be pricey at times, just depending on what you get, almost everything on the menu is superb and worth the cost. My personal favorites are the strawberry fresh milk black tea, brown sugar fresh milk black tea, and the strawberry (or mango) marbled green tea. The wintermelon milk foam is also a really good (and cheaper) choice. Another thing I really like about this Gong Cha is the building it is in. The Spot Mini is a very attractive place to hang out in. It has a nice aesthetic to it and if you have not been there you should definitely go at least once. There is also a lot of seating, so don't worry about not being able to find a seat when it's getting busy. Another thing that is great about the Spot Mini is how well kept it is. The tables and bathrooms are consistently cleaned and even the games are very clean. Gong Cha is definitely my go-to boba spot on campus now, and with the many places that have boba at College Park it really says a lot about the quality of...
Read moreThe staff at gongcha…. The staff needs to be trained on Customer Service. I get it’s part of a food hall and not it’s individual bubble store, but the quality of the drinks and customer service NEEDS to be worked on. It’s $7-10 per drink… they refuse to replace drinks and will talk back/correct the customer. I was baffled.
I ordered a honey strawberry smoothie and added milk cap/foam on top which is listed as a “topping” and additional charge for it.
The girl that made my drink, she blended “extra” milk cap INTO my smoothie and when I had went up to talk to her about wanting it as a topping; she corrects me about the dome lid and said it will spill over and was recapping on how she made the drink. I repeated I wanted it as a topping, so add it on top of the drink and seal it instead of educating the customer regarding the lid you use. Also it affects the taste of the smoothie when you blend in extra milk foam listed as a topping into the smoothie without asking. She knew I wanted it as a topping so just add it on top? She did not remake the smoothie and it tasted like straight up milk. Then she handed back the same smoothie after sealing it aggressively. It’s the arrogant attitude along with the unnecessary lesson to a customer. Never coming...
Read moreUpdate: the next day after the sushi…. I have been running to the bathroom for a multiple times today. Probably coz of the weird fishy taste I got from those rolls. If you are selling any raw product, please do the right thing with it!!!!! So your client won’t get sick from it!!!!!
I had been craving for sushi so I came here again since they were pretty good before. But this time… I’m so disappointed. Not sure it’s because I order it between 3-4 pm that’s not rush hour or what.
I order 3 sushi roll, miso soup with a milk foam black tea and also tip them too but in exchange, I got the sushi don’t even have vinegar taste in the rice, something shouldn’t taste fishy but it’s fishy, almost throw up (why California roll taste like raw fish? ew) coz I don’t eat raw fish. The miso soup is very deluded and the tea also. Oh and the soy sauce they gave in the container… you can only taste full mouth of saltiness but don’t have what soy sauce suppose to tasted.
I don’t know what’s going on with them, maybe they change the owner or chef or the way they doing now but yeah…. A very disappointed meal. :-/ sad for this...
