I don't do reviews very often, and I'm not someone to moan and complain about the small stuff. But our experience with Mr. Chopra was definitely different than what most of the reviewers here have written about.
My wife and I went to the VzW store in College Park, MD, on Sept. 22 because her phone was dying and needed to be replaced. She had a Galaxy 5s.
When we spoke with the salesman, he pushed the Google Pixel 2 VERY hard. He told us it had 512gb of storage. We noticed before we bought it that it said it was only 64 or 128gb (Iâve forgotten which) on the box. The salesman talked to his manager, Mr. Chopra, who said he didnât have the 512 in stock.
Since it cost $100 more than the lower-capacity model, he would give us the $100 in store credit. We asked that he just charge us the lesser amount and he said he couldnât do that. He said heâd order the a case and two screen protectors.
When they arrived, they were for the Pixel 2. At that point we realized she had a Pixel 1. And the case wasnât anything special anyway, as had been promised. Turns out she was happy with the Pixel 1 because of its smaller size.
I'm returning the accessories to the store tomorrow, and was lucky to get a $50 credit on our bill thanks to an IM conversation and call with a VzW rep. I was more than happy to take half the amount because 1) the rep actually seemed to care, and 2) it covered the money my wife spent on accessories on Amazon.
This whole process had us wondering if these guys were trying to rip us off or they were just incompetent. I'm pretty sure it was just a combination of oversights that caused this.
Thing is, we normally go to the VzW store closer to our house, but only did this because that store is packed on Saturdays and we were in College Park anyway. But packed or not, we have NEVER had the kind of issues there that we had there.
Long story (no so) short, my wife is very happy with her Pixel 1, but next time, we'll wait in line at the local store. Never the CP...
Read moreI want to formally express my profound dissatisfaction with the customer service I received at one of your Verizon stores(7201). I was referred to this store by a Verizon employee to return some equipment. However, upon my arrival, an employee who claimed he could not provide an employee ID, but whose name, according to him, is Sultan Morales, informed me that the equipment could not be accepted. I completely understood this policy and did not argue against it.
However, what followed was absolutely unacceptable. After explaining the significant hassle I had already gone through to facilitate this return, I asked Mr. Morales to provide me with a Verizon Customer Support number. Instead of assisting me properly, he gave me a number that, shockingly, was not Verizon at allâbut a Medicaid service line. When I called, I was asked if I was 50 years or older.
This experience was not only incredibly frustrating but also deeply disrespectful. Providing a completely unrelated numberâone intended for Medicaid inquiriesâis beyond unprofessional and raises serious concerns about the integrity of your employees.
Due to this appalling experience, I am cancelling my Verizon service immediately. Furthermore, I will be actively discouraging anyone I know from considering Verizon as their service provider. Strict measures must be taken against such behavior, and I expect a formal response from Verizon regarding how this situation will...
Read moreI've been here twice in one week. When I first went, Derek helped me and he was really nice and told me what he was doing each step of the process. About half-way through, I found out I had to unlock my iPhone before I could switch from T-Mobile, so I came back on the weekend. The second time I visited, Dave (David) helped me. He was ok up until one point when he started texting while he was in the middle of helping me. I'm not sure if he has the same temperament everyday or if he was just having a rough day.( He mentioned he was hungry and it had been busy since the store opened.) Regardless, he interrupted me when I asked questions, he sounded a little arrogant when answering questions, and he didn't talk much while going through the whole process, so I sat there staring out the window most of my time there. He was kind of unprofessional- He got upset over an encounter with an unpleasant customer and brought it up a few times while helping me. The main reason I went to him because he was the same rep I talked to over the phone when I called the store. I could've gone to several other Verizon stores in my area, so I left a bit annoyed with the level of customer service I received from him, but I was happy to finally leave with what I wanted. Jay, the manager, was nice, helpful and very...
