Compass Coffee — Restaurant in College Park

I stopped by the College Park Compass Coffee around 8:30am this morning and ordered a medium hot latte with regular dairy milk that I was not at all happy with. The latte had a gelatinous, sticky, slimy texture, especially in the foam which made up about a third of the cup. The attached image is from ~12:30 pm the same day. Even after four hours, the foam has not changed at all. It is completely stuck to the sides of the cup and lid. What is in this latte? A latte should be nothing more that espresso and milk, but I'm wondering if they added a thickener/gum to it to achieve this texture? I will be very hesitant to try this again and will likely stick to Vigilante when I am looking for a cup of coffee in...
