The owner of this restaurant has no integrity: he doesn’t care what his staff do, and doesn’t feel they represent him in any way. He thinks he can buy off the local community and get away with any level of bad behaviour. He says he’s been in business for 20+ years, so nothing he does can harm him now. He thinks he’s invincible, and he can do any harm he likes as a result. Not a good person.
Their employee, Maximus Dimas, injured my husband while he was picking up food in the drive thru by hitting him with his uninsured vehicle and then fleeing, leaving my husband with a back injury. I was assured he’d be dealt with, and I’d be contacted once they’d spoken with him and that Risk and Compliance would reach out to us to help with doctor’s bills and anything else we needed. Needless to say, this didn’t happen.
I went in to follow up, asked for a manager, only to be greeted with the smug face of Maximus, who not only still works there despite hurting a customer - he was now managing the shift. They reward a lack of integrity at this store, and when I asked to speak to someone who hadn’t hospitalised my husband, Maximus stood there and grinned and smiled at me like my husband’s injuries and his criminal behaviour are funny.
When I finally spoke to the owner, who took his time coming out while Maximus stood with his colleagues staring and laughing, he didn’t care. He asked - and I quote - whether “regardless of how good a server is, you think I should fire him for something else that he did?” The answer is yes. If he clocked out and punched a customer on his way out of the building, the owner wouldn’t care apparently. If he commits sex crimes outside of work, the owner would keep him serving your children because that’s ‘off the clock’ That shows a huge lack of integrity: this happened to a customer on Roadhouse property. The owner claimed he wanted ‘due process’, despite Maximus already having admitted guilty and is just waiting to receive his fines and get served civilly. The owner wouldn't listen, spoke over me, and kept lying about callbacks and blaming his employees. I asked him if he’d like to see the crash report, and he hesitated, I asked if when Maximus finishes court, he’ll still work there - and he didn’t have the integrity to even be honest and say yes, he will continue to employee criminals who injure customers and find those injuries hilarious.
I will not eat, and I hope our community will not eat, anywhere that lacks integrity or care for good conduct and integrity. Anywhere that finds injuring customers funny shouldn't be...
Read moreIt only took moving to Texas, & hearing the locals rave about the Texas Roadhouse to FINALLY cave in & give it a try. What a neat experience it was to go for our very first visit on Valentine's Day!! 💓😁 The restaurant didn't open until 3pm. We arrived at about 3:15 because we knew being a holiday it would probably get busy. Sure enough there was already a significant amount of cars in the parking lot. There was some sort of tent set up outside, also limiting parking. There was already a little bit of a wait [ it gets very busy, we weren't sure if we were skipped when being seated at first. I wouldn't recommend coming at peak times as it can be really loud & difficult to park!]
The Valentine's Day theming was so fun! 🥰 I also loved that you got to walk in & see them freshly making the complimentary rolls & the steaks. The cinnamon butter they serve with the rolls is a great combo.
As we were guided to our table we were asked if we had been to the restaurant before, which was a no, & so we got a nice welcoming. Our waitress was very attentive. The manager caught wind it was our first time ever at TX Roadhouse so he stopped by our table & gave us a basket of peanuts 🥜 with some free samples of their house chili, & a coupon for a free appetizer! (He didn't make it clear it couldn't be used during the same visit however.)
All the food tasted great!! We had 3 medium containers of leftovers & left full! They had both a Valentine's Day special menu & an early bird special menu to choose from if you desired. Only 3 options for desserts but neither of us had any room left. I don't know about if you wanted to pay with cash, but they had it set up to pay on a credit card right at your table which was really easy & convenient.
When we were leaving, I walked passed the parking lot tent, & was offered another coupon for another free appetizer on a future visit!! This certainly made up for not being able to use my previous coupon on the same day. 😃💕 Overall a fun memorable first visit, & now we have 2 incentives to...
Read moreHorrible first impression based on hostess interactions.
At 6:30 on a Thursday night just as a storm was blowing in the place was very busy. We managed to park and get in the door and get our names on the wait list. We were told 30-45 minutes and given no further instructions. It was packed in the waiting area because the rains had started with no way to stay outside. We found a spot to stand and were about 20 minutes in when the stupidity started. First, one of the hostesses told us we couldn’t stand where we were at. When asked “where can I stand” her answer was “outside” when it was clearly close to a monsoon with the rain and wind. When I said “no - where else” she said we could go to the bar and we found a long table beside the bar that was mostly empty. I asked a male server if this was a “first come first serve table” and was told “let me ask a manager.” When the manager trainee showed she let me know it wasn’t and that we “needed to move” so they could seat others. We managed to get by the bar when I got the text letting me know the table was ready. I went over to check in and was told (if you can imagine this) to gather the group in the exact same spot I was told 5 minutes earlier that we had to move. 😡 I simply cannot fathom the level of ineptitude going on here. No empathy for the customer, no awareness of the situation with the storm and of course no sense of at least trying to be nice about it.
Once we got seated, things took a turn for the better. Avery took excellent care of our group. The food came out quickly, the steaks were cooked correctly and it was what I expected out of Texas Roadhouse.
I’m only in town for a few days and won’t be going back to this location. I’m honestly just shocked over the whole thing but refuse to berate the entire experience...
