This was the park that completely changed my dog. I thought this dog park was amazing with all of its features but on the third visit, my dog had the worst experience that changed her willingness to make furry friends. She loved to run with the other dogs and she enjoys sprinting. One day there was a man with two large dogs who would NOT stop chasing and aggressively growling at my dog. She thought it was an innocent game of chase but then learned she was running for her safety. She ran straight to us after she was clearly exhausted of running away from these two aggressive dogs and we picked her up immediately. Before she ran to us, we were trying to get a moment to grab her and pick her up ourselves. I yelled at the owner to get his dogs and he said “oh they’re just playing.” I said “UHM NO. You’re dogs are clearly growling and showing signs of aggression!” Then he just laughed it off and tried to whistle to get their attention and of course it didn’t work! Now our dog absolutely hates this park and doesn’t even want to get out of the car for walks around the park. I was trying to slowly reintroduce her in hopes that she’d forget about it but nope. Every single time after this encounter she absolutely hated walking near the park and now does not take kindly to making furry friends. It breaks my heart because she was such a social butterfly at 1 and half year’s old. The people here don’t watch their dogs and don’t even know their dogs well enough to look out for warning signs. We always keep a close eye not just for our dog’s safety but other dog’s. She also ended up getting a bladder infection from the stagnant water. If you do go here keep a very close eye on your dog and other dogs. If you see just one dog acting aggressive, get yours...
Read moreMy friend Quentin who knows I do reviews goes to this amazing honey hole with his sister and he pointed it out to me. When I walked into this community treasure with my friend Monica, her husband and their dog Winston I was imeadately taken aback by both the size of the place as well as the amount of amenities offered. Two fenced in yards allow the big dogs to be separated from the small, there is a playground for the kiddies and even a grassy area that would be great for frisbee. Plenty of parking, drinking fountains a place to wash the hound off when your done and to top it all off it's definitely the HOT SPOT to meet people. Channel comes here with her pair of Wippets which are similar to greyhounds but smaller and if I knew I would meet her there I would of been waiting with flowers. I rate this spot a super grade...
Read moreThe large dog area is very large with plenty of room for the dogs to run around in. The small dog area is definitely not as big, nor does it have the same equipment. Be prepared for your dog to get muddy as there ALWAYS seems to be a TON of mud. And the water station to wash off your dog is way outside of the gated areas, closer to the road (which we don’t like because our dog tries to get out of her leash when she’s near running water, ugh). There’s a lot of shade and some benches to sit on.
My major peeve about this place is the lack of running water. The only area in the park for the dogs to drink is the pond which seems to be stale water. With no flow/current, bad bacteria can grow. (That being said, the water looks ok to me)
Despite those complaints, my dog absolutely loves this park,...
