I needed to have a special stone mounted to be used as a pendant. I wanted to give this pendant to my wife as a special gift for our upcoming 30th wedding anniversary.I Looked around on line, to find a jeweler who did this type of work. I found that Chiccarines was local, gave them a call, and was invited to come in and see what they could do. I went in, and was greeted by Mike, and I explained what I needed, and when I needed it by. He showed me some options, made some suggestions. He explained to me that he needed to do some research, and speak to the craftsman would be doing the work, to find more options for my unusual request. A day or two later, he contacted me, and invited me to bring the stone back in, and choose how we would proceed. With Mike's guidance, I chose the best option that would accomplish what I envisioned, while staying within my budget. I left the stone with him, and was given a favorable timeline, that was well within my deadline. As promised, Mike contacted me a week later, informing me that the piece was ready. I asked him if he had an appropriate chain I could purchase, to go with the piece, he had one ready with back up choices, when I arrived at the shop later that day. The job of creating the pendant mounting was perfectly done, the chain is exquisite, and the piece that I am going to present to my wife on our anniversary is stunning. I commissioned Chiccarine’s for an engagement ring for my then girlfriend and now wife. I worked with Paul to select a proper setting and diamond. I could not have been happier in the selection and process. I also had an opportunity to work with Michael who is a great resource and very knowledgeable and very customer focused.

In addition to selecting a great engagement ring, Paul helped me with the wedding ring selection, which included several Safire’s at my wife’s request. Both rings together are a perfect pair.

Also, Paul worked with me to customize my ring. My Father passed away some time ago and I had ask my Mom at the time if I could have his ring. My Dad was an amazing person and it meant a lot to me to have his ring as my wedding ring because of the great husband and father he was (Is, he’s with me every day). It was important for me to have this because I need to be the best husband and father possible, and I could not follow a better example.

Paul did exactly what I asked, keep the ring the same & just add a little touch here and there to make it mine. He also kept the engraving my mom had put in for my dad in 1954. In addition, my wife did the same to correspond our initials & dates with theirs, with the same font. This was a major thing for me and Chiccarine’s came through.

Almost three years ago, I had an irreplaceable family ring resized at Sabre's Fine Jewelery down the street. It was a piece of jewelery dear to my heart because it was a gift from my grandma, who had recently passed. They botched the resizing more than once (the metal addition rejected and broke off the band). While I cried on the phone to the owner, Michelle, she had the audacity to ask me to take down my review (which can still be found in Google Reviews). I will never forget that experience.

Fast forward to about a month ago, my dad gave my sisters and I beautiful diamond rings as a kind of parting gift since he is slowly losing a battle with stage 4 colon cancer. All our rings needed resizing. I was incredibly anxious about the idea of giving up my ring to a jeweler at the risk of having a repeat of three years ago, but I reluctantly let me dad choose the jeweler. I dropped off after work, hours after my sisters dropped off theirs. They greeted me by name immediately upon walking in the door. They said I looked just like my dad and sisters-- so sweet. They were very sensitive to my family's situation and eased my nerves before I handed over the ring.

We got the rings back about 2-3 weeks later in great condition. I wear my ring almost every day and the added metal is definitely withstanding water, sweat, clanking, etc. I can confidently say that the metal addition is on there for a long time.
