I decided to try this last week. I went to the counter and an elder waitress served me in a great manner. I tipped Her $5 on a $13 dollar item. Today, I wanted to start my day with a great breakfast.. My days are made by breakfasts for some reason. I told the hostess I was going to the counter, no menu needed. I sat down with two others by my side, a seat apart. Some tables behind me were the counter waitresses' also. I sat and waited, the younger waitress did not say Boo!!! To me.. She gave the guys on each side of me coffee... they already had breakfast served. She came back and again skipped saying hi or I'm busy.. nothing..went around the counter and gave the tables coffee.. I waited and no signs of acknowledgment whatsoever! I am Latino... So at this point ..I'm feeling a bit intimidated... I figured she was busy and would serve me water..utensils...a napkin..ask if I wanted coffee?!!!! Nothing..She again went around and talked to the tables behind me.. Went to the back again!!! Again..no peeps to me!! She came back and walked by the table to give the tables something again..went pass me and nothing.. 10 to 15 minutes seating there and I had to get to work.. I stood up, walked out and on the way out I said thank you to the Hostess...I told him I sat there for ten minutes with not even a hello.. He looked at me..said nothing and I walked out...My car is a far walk in their parking lot...and I did wait for some kind of Excuse me Sir! But nothing...Do they not serve Latinos at this place?! Is my money not good?!! I am very upset as McDonalds and Gordos..oh..wawa are my choices now.. smh.. 4/15/2024 Adding insult to injury.. I gave them another try.. Cornbread special..see pictures.. they did not know it was me.. This is how they treat all customers!!! Two slices of roast beef and coleslaw..no cheese..hardly any coleslaw.. rye bread not toasted... A bag of chips...that and a chicken sandwhich were $25 dollars.. I talked to Jim.. I discussed both issues.. I wanted to hear something that would allow me to take this review down!! Nothing feom Jim.. said he would reimburse me.. day two and nothing on the card I paid with... I strongly wish them unemployment and a huge decrease is traffic.. I am a Latino and I don't think they like us at this place unless we work there... smh!!!!

I'm adding an updated review. I've been coming here for about 12 months. It's been consistently good. The breakfast food is always tasty and plenty... You can't go away hungry from this place. Highly recommended! I had a group meeting here, and I was looking forward to having my first breakfast. Unfortunately, it was just an average diner experience for me. I opted for a Western omelette as my choice (photo). It tasted just OK and home fries lacked flavoring, so the food tasted pretty plain altogether. Service was good...I got to have my coffee refilled without asking for it. If you're looking for some traditional diner experience, this might be a good place for you. (The menu posted (photos) on their website seemed old, and the prices are at least $2.00 more now). Interestingly, there are two ways to get in the parking lot, but only one way to get on the Main--it might be very difficult to get on the westbound lane during the busy time of the day.

I’m looking for places where I can eat a delicious breakfast and at the same time work as a digital semi-nomad. The Collegeville Diner passed my test. . The concept that they manage by dividing the tables as booths, allows you to have the feeling of privacy while you are in a public place. . My American breakfast today was delicious and abundant, the eggs at their point and the bacon was one of the best I've ever eaten. . The only thing that I didn't like very much, but even so I had two cups, was the coffee. Only for the coffee I give them 4 stars, I have always thought that coffee in a breakfast is a must, the special signature that makes everything taste better. . I will definitely return to continue building this digital adventure. . Note: I was able to have work calls very comfortably, of course using my headphones.

This was my first visit to the Collegeville Diner and I had a very pleasant Sunday brunch with my family of 8. The atmosphere was cozy and laid back and the diner was decorated with understated class and beauty. It was busy but not hectic which was a testimate to the wait staffs expertise at handling a full dinning room like true professionals. We were very pleased with the wait staff as they made us feel right at home and were very attentive to our wants and needs. We all tried different dishes as we were blown away by the giant menu of foods offered. For the most part we were all happy with our selections however the Steak and Eggs benedict we ordered was not seasoned to our liking. The steak was tender and juicy otherwise and after a little help from salt and pepper it was fine. The littles all loved their super hero inspired meals and nearly ate all of thier food with only 2 needing take home boxes. The Rueben Burger that my daughter ordered was fabulous because of it's great flavor and being perfectly cooked. She also raved about the decadent cup of hot Cocoa she enjoyed. I had the Buttermilk Pancake breakfast with turkey sausage and a side of grits that all was superb. The star of our table was the loaded french fries! My son doesn't eat pork so the diner subbed the pork bacon with turkey bacon on the fries and everyone at the table hungrily watched him eat every single one of the fries! The portion sized for everyones meal was hearty and we were all full when we left the diner. Paying the bill was quick and easy. So we all left happy and well-fed. Despite being comfortably full, the dessert display begged me to take something home with me but my will-power won out this time but I'll definitely be visiting the Collegeville Diner...

I've eaten at this Diner several times and will never come here again. The food is half decent, but the staff have no personality. The menu states, "under new management!" as if the last people in charge were worse and the contemporaries are an improvement. If so, that's scary! I had one waitress with a great personality who joked and made my party feel welcome. The other servers I've had act like the walking dead. I'm one of the most easy going customers to possibly wait on and they don't even crack a smile. The last time I ate here, I entered through the front door and the chubby hostess with the red hair almost walked right into me as she passed by me to get something. I said "excuse me" and she said nothing back. My waiter was a deadbeat, no surprise. Then when I went to the register, the cashier/manager (who may have been an owner) didn't ask me how my meal was. He did, however, ask me if I left the waiter a tip, as I signed the credit card slip with $0.00 on the tip line. I told him with a smile on my face that the tip was on the table ( $3 cash). I guess he didn't believe me, so he gave me a sort of glaring facial expression. This manager and most of the staff are the usual Greek/ Egyptian types that seem to be running Pennsylvania restaurants anymore. I understand that people from other countries are a bit different that most Americans, but I think that a smile and "thank you" are pretty universal. I hope that everyone enjoyed my usage of quotation marks and uber details. DON'T EAT HERE UNLESS...
