March 19, 2023: Went for Sunday brunch and the bartender was awesome! She was definitely on top of her stuff and handled the crowd and food/ drink service VERY well. The fries were the best they have been today. Not burned or cold and had plenty of seasoning! Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the people in the group that drank enjoyed their drinks!
May 2022: We sat at the bar and had a great time with the regulars and bartenders. I wish we would have eaten there instead of taking it home! I know the food is delicious (the REUBEN is top notch) from last time we went, but it was soggy by the time we got home. We had chips and salsa while we hung out and watched the Cardinal's game. It was really good, also.
10/1/2022: We have never had a worse experience at this location. It is normally fantastic. I have no idea what happened last night, but everything was TERRIBLE! whoever was in the kitchen needs a performance review. The food was cold, sweet potato fries were soggy. It took about an hour to get the pick 3 appetizer we ordered (garlic cheese curds, egg rolls, and chips and salsa). They didn't come tell me they didn't have cheese curds, just replaced it with mozzarella sticks, which I don't eat. The eggs rolls were burnt to a crisp. The chips and salsa are normally warm, but they were cold.
For the meals we got the Diablo burger w/ fries, Philly w/ fries, and Reuben w/ sweet potato fries. The Diablo burger was soggy and messy, the Philly was disgusting, the regular fries were over cooked/cold/disgusting, and the sweet potato fries were soggy/cold/slimy. The Reuben was edible, but definitely not up to normal standards.
The bartender had to keep running to the kitchen because whoever was back there couldn't keep up with the few people that were in the building. If we ever have an experience like that again, it is highly doubtful that we will ever be back. I can't believe how bad it was! It has always been fantastic!
11/2023: food was unusually bad this day also. The Reuben (used to be my favorite, but now I might be afraid to order it again) has gotten progressively worse. I was really craving it, but it was dried out and horrible! I'll never get sweet potato fries again. The only people who really enjoyed their meals were the kids...they got a burger and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders looked awful! But, he is a kid and ate them... idk if it depends on the cook or what...sometimes this place can't be beat, but the last couple times it...
Read moreAtmosphere: The very first thing we noticed was the fun atmosphere. My husband and I are not into sports but the place still seemed like a fun place to be. There were a lot of TVs around the bar area and a few closer to the table dining areas. However, there were only about three different channels playing so not a large variety of sports.
Bathrooms: On the walls in the bathroom someone has written in large letters on the walls somewhat "inspirational" quotes/sayings and a ton of bad advice. The bathroom was relatively clean, but all three stalls were out of toilet seat covers and only one had toilet paper. Two of the three soap dispensers were empty and one of the two paper towel dispensers was empty. This is a poor reflection on the management.
Service: Paul was a great waiter. He was friendly. He was very helpful and attentive. He was very knowledgeable of the menu. He gave a good suggestion after my first choice was a flop. He was the bright spot in an otherwise not-so-good experience. If not for him and his excellent service, I would have only give this place 1 maybe 2 stars instead of 3.
Food:
Which brings me to the food. The food was just okay. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Paul tried to tell me (in the subtle ways that waiters do) that the chicken and waffles was not good decision (Instead of saying it is a "good choice" he just told me that the table next to us had ordered that) But since I didn't catch his hint, I ordered it anyway. When I got it the chicken tenders were just okay and sort of bland. The waffle was really bad. It was mushy and doughy. not the least bit crispy. It tasted like a frozen waffle if you heat it in the microwave instead of the toaster. I sent that back (which is something I rarely do) and went with Paul's suggestion this time of the Cajun penne pasta. It was pretty good. (it didn't blow me away, but it was acceptable) My husband had a burger. It was huge but the quality was so-so. He said that it seemed that the cook did the best he could with the lower quality beef and ingredients that he had. The fries probably would have been really good when they were fresh but got cold really quickly.
Overall: This would be a fun place to watch a game, hang with friends, or maybe get some drinks, but I would not recommend this place as a restaurant. I wish all restaurants had waiters like Paul but the good service isn't enough reason to go back to a place if the...
Read moreI was here last weekend to watch a football game. I arrived and the other party members had already been there a while. What happened next was a saga of incredulity. I learned the server who had been responsible for the table was going on break, so I was left in customer limbo. Literally, no one came to take my order until another patron went and got someone 15 minutes after my arrival. (and yes, there were not that many people in the place, so it was obvious I was a new arrival) We watched as servers hung out in the back and rarely came to any of the tables. It was the bartender, not a server who finally brought me my beverage. I then asked if I could order some food and he said sure, what did I want. I explained I needed a menu at which point he said he would send a server over. Now, we saw him talk to some of the employees who were hanging around in the back area chatting with each other. And another 30 minutes passed before one came over with a menu. Another 30 before we caught someone's attention. If it were not for the game we would have walked out. I should have taken it as a sign though, and not ordered, but, I was hungry. Steak nachos. Well, they came out fairly quickly, but after one bite there was immediate regret that they had come out at all. The chips are paper thin, and were both soggy and stale (a rare feet). The cheese sauce was some white generic mess that tasted like vaseline. The meat, over cooked and also flavorless. Honestly, a simple and easy dish that was reduced to slop. A few bites in, I gave up. No one ever came to check how the food was, and during approximately 2 hours there, we were only asked once if we wanted refills (that trip over from the bartender) Whoever the manager was on that day...
