First of all I want to tell you the food was excellent in every way and I am a big fan of Perkins Restaurants, especially the Germantown location, but I do stop at your restaurant I’m Collierville when I’m in that area. My wife and I were in your location approximately 3 pm yesterday and I was really surprised at our waitress attitude. At the Germantown location when we order lunch or dinner, I ask if they have any rolls (bread) and we always get 3 or 4 rolls, I don’t mind paying extra if necessary, they never charge. I asked our waitress yesterday when she brought our food if my wife could have a couple of rolls, she abruptly and rudely explained to me if they offered rolls she would have brought them. I replied ok, but did tell her we have received them in the past.
Then she let me know I must have been at the Germantown location and it was a different franchise and Collierville did not offer that service. Also we were never asked us for a refill our Diet Coke. My recommendation to the management is train the staff not to respond in a pleasant way, I’m not asking you to change your policies, I know going forward I will visit the Germantown location mostly because of their overall attitude.
The waitress must have realized she could have handled that better, she did bring out a piece of toast. My first inclination was not tip. Usually I tip 25% or better, my conscience wouldn’t let me not to tip so I did tip 18%, I know how hard people int the food industry have to work. I don’t know her name, she also checked us out and the ticket just said cashier, the total amount was $46.19, I was going to purchase a coconut cream pie to take homebut I didn’t. I’m not writing this to get anything free, just thought you...
Read moreAlot of confusion with hostess. Came in to get a table of 4. Two men in front of me waiting on her to seat them. She started to seat me and I said these 2 gentlemen are before me. She said you said yall were together. We just looked at each other and said no we didn't. She walked off for 3rd time like she's looking for something. Then she walks out with a child taking her to bathroom and leaves us again waiting and frustrated. Another girl who works there has been watching all this, gets up and says follow me I will seat you. Both men made remarks about the girl being strange and cannot handle that job. I agreed she was in Lala land and didn't need to work in the public. Couple of people before .me got up and left because she wasn't seating them. Got to my table and get my patty melt and fries and they were cold. Ask the waitress to bring me some Mac and cheese to replace my fries. First she said she can't, it's for children. We had 2 children with us so what's the big problem. So she finally says I will have to charge you 2.99. I said I don't care about price just give me Mac & cheese! When all was said and done I see and hear our waitress say, this is my daughter. It was the hostess. Now some of it makes sense. I bet the girl was holding out seating us in her Mothers section because everyone of us were sitting in her mother's section. When. Her mother was introducing her to groups of people in her section. The young girl sits down at one of the tables and was still sitting there when I left and a room full of people waiting to be seen. Sorry but that hostess should be moved off that job. Plus relatives should not work...
Read moreMy usual favorite breakfast place. We waited 30 minutes to get the waitress to even acknowledge us. Then waited 30 more minutes to get our food served with an attitude. The assistant manager asked if we needed anything since our waitress was too busy. Not only have the prices increased by $5 on almost everything, now half my meal is missing? I got served what looked like a 1/4 of a piece of bacon instead of 2 full slices. I asked the assistant manager how many slices the meal came with. She said two pieces and was already put out with me asking. However, with the long wait and being there an hour before we even got to eat…the service was horrible and part of my meal was missing. The assistant manager didn’t even try to make good or offer to bring the correct amount of slices. She is definitely not suited to be any type of management. Both her and the waitress were completely put out since we sat down. I don’t understand why you would take this type of position if you can’t be personable and polite. Then to top it off, I go into the filthy bathroom and there’s no soap; That’s completely disgusting since this is a red flag the employees aren’t washing their hands either! I’m done with the Collierville Perkins. The worst experience in the 20 years I’ve been...
