Los Hermanos Cantina — Restaurant in Colonial Beach

There is a small parking lot available, with handicap. We chose to sit outside on a cold afternoon and were provided with a heater for comfort. Really appreciated being able to enjoy the water view while keeping warm. The host and waiter were extremely friendly and attentive. We were also visited by an adorable, curious seagull hoping for scraps. There are tables indoors with a water view and bar seating available. Festive decor inside.

We had margaritas and mojitos. They tasted great just on the weaker side of alcohol. Loved guava as a flavoring for the mojito. Chips and salsa offered while we read the menu.

We had the fish tacos, enchiladas poblanos, and chicken spinach enchiladas. Enchiladas poblanos looked amazing, but surprisingly lacked flavor. They weren't bad, just not as much flavor as expected with the presentation. Fish tacos and chicken spinach enchiladas were delicious. We enjoyed the salsa with the tacos and the sauce on top of the enchiladas.

Our only issue and the reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 was a filthy cup given to us when we requested ice water (photo included). We didn't say anything and I imagine they would have immediately fixed the problem considering how polite everyone was. We were too grossed out to attempt drinking it. We just feel this shouldn't happen to begin with, but for clarity of my review, we decided not to mention it to staff.

We'll return to try other items on the menu and enjoy the view. Will update...

This restaurant is an great example of perfect execution, from the kitchen to the service. It all came together to create one of the best dining experiences we've had. We ordered the fajitas and Pollo Asado, and both were outstanding. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the flavors were fantastic. The chicken was juicy, and the vegetables were perfectly grilled and charred. Each component was delicious on its own, but combining them with the fresh salsa, sour cream, and guacamole was an explosion of flavor. The kitchen's efficiency was amazing—despite the restaurant being busy, our food was served within 10 minutes. The large draft beer was another pleasant surprise; it was huge, fresh, and crisp. Our server, Eddie, was the cherry on top. He was friendly, accommodating, and went out of his way to customize our order. This weekend, I was served a rank steak. Being in the food business, you have to understand that some meals can be deadly for some people. Apparently, they don't take that seriously here. It was a beautiful evening, so my wife and I sat out on the deck while the sun was setting. They brought our meals, and I thought I caught a waft of rotting meat; however, we were outside so I was unsure that it was coming from my plate. I took a few bites, and took the rest home. I woke up with severe cramps and violent diarrhea. I inspected my leftovers, which was now stinking to high heaven. I'm so disappointed that they would risk my health in such manner. All my waiter wanted to do was push overpriced margaritas on us. No, dude, I don't want a friggin margarita; I just want to not be poisoned! They lost a customer for life. I can't trust them.
