9/1/25-Went to an event at the park. It was a nice little park. They did have public restrooms, but there was no soap. People were also getting confused on how to work them since they were electronic. The bathrooms are also not ADA friendly in that they use a color light system that is hard for many people to see. I actually was talking to a guy trying to figure them out and he said the colored lights are useless to him since he is color blind. I helped him with the colors to help him find an empty one. The benches are also hostile to the homeless since the benches clearly have an added bar to block people from sleeping on them. Parking was also really bad with few close spots, so people with disabilities had to park way off and walk in. The only good thing is that the normal metered parking was free that day due to the holiday. Cities don't care about how metered parking is a stopping issue for a lot of people and having potential customers have to pay for parking can hurt business. I hope the event we went to and other events choose a different park next time that is more friendly to the public.

Got to the Territory Days Festival early and had a great time. We were amazed at the number of vendors! The bands playing at the park were very good. We also enjoyed the beer garden....I would suggest passing a DORA ordinance allowing alcohol to be carried. Our city in Ohio recently adopted DORA and it has been a boon for downtown businesses.

We stopped to listen to the free music, which was good. It was a small crowd of all ages. The park itself was very nice, unfortunately that night the restrooms were disgusting, but it did look like a recent mess, so I'm not sure how they normally are. We saw several dogs, and there was a toddler playground area.

I have been a long-term resident in the greater Colorado Springs area, and I have visited Bancroft park for almost 30 years. I have always enjoyed the summer farmers markets along the east side of the park, I always enjoy the public library to the northwest corner, Jives coffee to the West is absolutely terrific. I can remember when they renovated the small cabin at the front of the park, I can recall when the clam shell stage had a fire and was boarded up, and I can recall when they paved most of it to reduce the grass. I enjoy being out with the mature growth trees, and I'm glad that the city still has the concert in the...

Had a fun time strolling through this park during golden hour, taking in some history. Old Colorado City used to be the seedy side of Colorado Springs, with taverns, red light district, etc. To sum it up, it was the place to be. It sounds like there is a good farmer's market here. However, timing was off so we walked through and ate chocolate-covered strawberries from Rocky Mountain candy and checked out the progressive public restrooms. Wish I had taken a few pics but I was too busy...
