Caffeinated Cow — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

WOW! Jake and his wife run the BEST cafe/restaurant in town geared towards the best of both worlds.... Coffee and Ice Cream! I walked in as a first-time guest, and Jake already was greeting me and asking me about my day and was being the most amazing person from the beginning of my experience in the store. I told him loosely what I was trying to look for in both ice cream and coffee from his store and he was already anticipating what I wanted and was offering me samples and giving me background explanations on why everything is so great with his ice cream and coffee that I was curious about. This dude went above and beyond any experience I've ever had at a place where I was just looking for some ice cream and coffee. Jake made the whole experience amazing, personal, and satisfying with what I received from his products, but also with what I received as a human being in his store. My only regret is that I don't live locally, so I have to wait for my work trips to bring me out to Colorado Springs for any opportunity to come back again. If you have family or children, PLEASE take them here to experience what true awesome service and culture is meant to be. Jake, keep up the FANTASTIC work and you will have decades of success ahead of you with your family's business...

Forget the coffee shop on friends! More people are finding out the secret hangout is Caffeinated Cow on 8th. Awww the atmosphere is contagious! The music is always on point! The ice cream flavors are amazing! Harmonys Grill Cheese y’all!! This sandwich is life! I’ve been back twice in one day for this piece of heaven!! I’ll be doing some Xmas and Bday shopping here. EVEN some prank gifts here lol. Let’s talk about the owners, these are the type of owners that could teach. Sometimes I go there just to sit and watch how they work together with all the employees. It’s amazing! This husband and wife duo team is supreme! This is why the atmosphere is infectious! I have met amazing people at this location and I’ve never seen anyone walk out without pure satisfaction from some aspect of Caffeinated Cow on 8th. They are family to me… I’ve actually taken all family member here that come to town.. lol everyone needs to know what’s happening here and learn while enjoying delicious treats. The ice cream is good! I wish they paid their employees a fair wage, or at least full minimum wage. instead, they make use of a tip loophole, so that they just pay their employees below minimum wage plus tips . The management has put a very very strong emphasis on tips, and has all the employees moo like cows. anytime a patron places a tip. There is no table service, so tips really shouldn't be expected at a place like this, but the management makes this a high priority. if you talk to employees when management isn't there, they will tell you that they find the mooing for tips to be annoying at the least, and demoralizing at the most. They are right next door to a pet store and self dog wash. It would be great if they would allow you to walk in with your dog on a leash to make the order and wait outside. Unfortunately no dogs are allowed. (The burrowing out right next door does allow dogs on their patio and is very dog friendly)
