The visit before this, a waiter accidentally spilled beer on a guest at my table and didn't offer to comp or discount anything.
On the way to the car, the to go waitress saw me approach my vehicle & asked what my problem was! Maybe a lack of communication from you regarding my order delay while it got cold without an apology or the fact that the over agressive expectations of this caliber of service warrants a 20% tip? Tipping in this situation is parallel to a bribe of extortion that our orders aren't screwed with or items are missing. It's not because you are the best at serving delivery orders to a parked car. Sulking while packing orders & ignoring irritated patrons backfires. If I have to deliver my food myself, then I keep the tip.
There was a nice couple who was at the bar eating while I was waiting, they appeared to be having a terrible experience too because a steak was being replaced while she finished her side, then boxed it to go. We shared our discontent at the situation and left with similar distaste in our experience and meals. It will be surprising if this situation improves. Be prepared for lost time, terrible service, and cold food on your future visits.
4/5 Stars due to smaller restaurant size and small steak size choice options. Otherwise, fantastic service each visit and steak cooked to perfection without the overpowering butter topping usually found on steaks. I...
Read moreWent for a late lunch today at 3pm. Had only a 5 minute wait. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our server was "Amanda G" and she got a $20 tip from us. She was absolutely amazing and was working her butt off. She managed quite a few tables and continued to check on us, had a beautiful smile and I would recommend asking for her if you go. The ambiance was excellent and the food was to kill for! I know they are new right now and they're trying extra hard perhaps, but they will blow up huge if they can keep up the friendly attitudes and helpfulness. I would recommend this place to any of my steak loving friends. 5/5 given by me which is a very rare thing. The baby back ribs were falling off the bones, tender and delicious. The sweet potato was huge and my wife loved every bit of her meal. I got the Outlaw Ribeye. Absolutely DELICIOUS!! I had it cooked medium and it was just melt in your mouth good and flavorful. The seasoning was excellent as well. The mashed potatoes were also delicious. My rice pilaf wasn't the greatest and I didn't even eat half of it. It was rather bland and tasted like rubber to me. Other than that, it's a must try. I attached two pictures of our meals. Perfection.
Update 2025 - We've been here 3 times since my last review and they've gone completely downhill. The last 3 times, I ordered the same exact thing and every time, it comes out completely different. One time, the server told me, "That steak is VERY seasoned, are you ok with heavy seasoning?" I told her, "The last time I was here, it was so underseasoned and underwhelming, I would gladly welcome it. Please, season it!"... Well, no such luck. I even had some friends taste it and they agreed, bland, boring and simply underwhelming. We hadn't gone back since, but we're going to give them one more chance this week with some other friends. I'll update this one last time because if it's bad again, we'll never go back here.
Update 2025 - We went back one last time as I said we would and we were pleasantly surprised. My steak was very good and everyone enjoyed their meals. The only issue my party had was that the server informed one person of sides they could have and he chose his sides. When his bill came, he was charged for each side because they were "premium" sides which is ridiculous if you ask me, but none the less, he wasn't happy that the server didn't say, "By the way, those are premium sides you chose, they will cost extra". In all fairness though, the food was good and we may consider...
Read moreWe've been multiple times, but the last 3 times we've walked out after a while despite waiting to be seated and using the app and joining the waitlist. This last time tonight, that was it, we will never return and give them any more chances. Historically, we left because after waiting and later being told only half the restaurant is open due to lack of staff we left disappointed. This most recently, we joined the waitlist en route with a 15 min wait, we arrived and checked in, with many (like 6 groups of 3-5 people waiting to be seated) folks standing around. We decided to sit on the inside benches near the front and bar. There was a lady with 5 kids around her hogging a majority of the wrap around benches. We sat next to her. The hostess came by to grab some supplies from a bench across from us. From that observation, one of the kids figured out that that was a source of entertainment. Loud noises and bench slamming occurred, and the mom didn't intervene nor did the hostess. Soon after that lady's other kid, a toddler, decides my thigh was where she wanted to say hi to with grubby wet paws. Now, I love kids. I think they're important, sweet, and deserving of patience. However, this kid was drooling and touched my thigh. This mom said (she was flirting with a man seated in the bar), "She can't help but touch people." I said "hmm indeed." I ignored them, waiting and surfed with my phone. Right after that, mom held toddler over herself nearer me, and kiddo grabbed my thigh again but even more aggressively and slobberly. I told the kid, "No, DON'T touch me!" I at that time had had enough! I stood up and left, and my husband and mom followed immediately after that. During this experience, we followed closely along with the wait list on the app closely and noticed we went from 4th in line while in the restaurant to 6th, oddly enough. I'm not sure if we angered the hostess or the app is glitchy (unlikely), but I'm done with giving Longhorn any more chances as their staff is uninvolved and aloof, or stressed and unempowered. Regardless, we went elsewhere and rallied the night with Rookies in Fountain, and we're extremely impressed by Rookies instead. Longhorn, you need...
