I just moved to this area from further south about 3 weeks ago. I enjoy chipotle a lot, and decided to give this place a few tries. I have been here 5 times in the 3 weeks I moved to this area. Due to my schedule, 4 of the 5 times have been after 7pm. Each of these times, both the white and brown rice were not fully cooked, on top of the chicken/steak being over salted or not salted at all, and fajita veggies only being fully cooked 2 of these visits. One meal I might as well have eaten raw rice with salt and a hint of protein. I gave it another try today on 03/22/25 since it was a Saturday not long after they opened and I figured the rice would be thoroughly cooked. The rice was indeed cooked, however the entire staff seemed to be mad. I made my usual order, and I asked for extra rice on two of the 3 bowls and on those bowls they did 2, 1/4 scoops of rice to make up for a normal portion. My fiancée got her usual as well, a veggie bowl, and they gave light portions of everything. When she asked for more beans since they gave her about a 6th of a serving worth of beans, the person helping us scoffed and then gave her more beans reluctantly. While they had a large staff they were very reluctant to provide full servings of everything until something was said. The cashier was nice for a split second and then gave us a dirty look after paying for our meal. I used to be a service manager for Chipotle, and this is unacceptable service. The experiences I have had at this location make me want to get hired back on just to get the store on the up and up as I came from under multiple GMs/stores who were restuarateurs and I further declined a GM position due to the low pay the offered at the time. When I get service like this from Chipotle, it is very frustrating. They are doing bare minimum just to keep the store open, it's visible...
Read moreRude employees. Just ordered a burrito, Wednesday 8/30/21 at 1:30, and had two employees act rude towards me. First, I accidentally said the wrong salsa and instead of making a new one, the cook attempted to pick off the pico and use the same burrito. I asked her nicely if I could just get a new one instead, and she acted like it was such an outlandish request. Then she proceeded to (I’m assuming purposely) put the wrong kind of rice in the burrito. I don’t like making trouble because I work as a cook at a restaurant, so I didn’t say anything. Then the manager was ringing me out, I gave her my gift card that clearly has a balance of $40 on it, and she said there was no money on it. I said I know there’s money on it, but no worries, I’ll take the gift card and just go to another location. She proceeded to act rudely towards me because she couldn’t figure out how to use a gift card. The only reason I’m not giving them one star is because she gave me the burrito for free. I really dislike when restaurant workers are blatantly rude; it gives the rest of us a bad name. Food is great, customer service needs much...
Read moreI am writing this review because of how awful my experience at the Powers store was. It literally made me wish I had driven across town just to have the peace of mind that my order would be correct (and actually taste good). It’s true, the Powers store is the worst in Colorado Springs, but the Nevada store is the BEST!!!!
As a previous employee (circa 2010), my expectations are a bit high. The Nevada store always impresses me. Outstanding achievements in my mind for: cleanliness, first and foremost, but also friendliness and consistency. The last time I dined in, two different female employees at two separate times walked the dining room wiping and re-wiping tables, restocking items, and sweeping. I was only there for about 30 minutes, too. Kudos!
I also want to comment on the tidiness of the line. Hot items were hot, cold items were cold, and the staff maintained a clean workspace. Communication was on point so the line moved in a nice rhythm.
Way to set the standard! You guys should do an employee swap with Powers for a few days so you can show them...
