El Ranchito — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

English: The staff is friendly but the kitchen is super dirty. The tables are dirty/not wiped down. I hadn’t noticed this until we already paid for our order.

The flautas were good and the toppings were super delicious. The beans were really good. The red salsa was perfect (the one with onion and cilantro). Though, I had ordered Flautas de Pollo not de Res. It said so on the ticket. I was given Flautas de Res. I didn’t bother asking for a new plate since I saw the state of the kitchen and didn’t want to wait again.

My husband’s “caldo de res” didn’t taste like caldo de res. It tasted like the caldo/consume from birria. Needless to say, he only had a couple of bites before not eating anymore.

**The worst part is the guy that was cooking said, in Spanish, that he is sick and his throat hurts. So now he is going to get other people sick. I regret eating anything because now my throat hurts. 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🙄 We paid $30 for food we did not 100% enjoy but that’s what happens when you try new places I guess.

I understand this is a carnecería but that doesn’t mean the restaurant side should be of lower quality.

En Español: El personal era amable pero la cocina está muy sucia. Las mesas están sucias/no limpiadas. No me había dado cuenta de esto hasta que ya pagamos nuestro pedido.

Las flautas estaban buenas y los aderezos deliciosos. Los frijoles estaban realmente buenos. La salsa roja (con cebolla y cilantro) era perfecta. Aunque, yo había ordenado unos Flautas de Pollo. Así lo decía en el billete. Me dieron Flautas de Res. No me molesté en pedir un plato nuevo ya que ví como estaba la cocina y yo no quería esperar por más tiempo.

El “Caldo de Res,” que pido me esposo, no sabía nada de Caldo de Res. Sabía a caldo/consumo/“el jugo” de birria. El solo comió un par de bocados antes de no comer más.

La peor parte fue que, el hombre que estaba cocinando le dijo a otro cliente, en español, que está enfermo y le dolía la garganta. Así que ahora va a enfermar a otras clientes. Me arrepiento de haber comido cualquier cosa porque ahora me duele la garganta. 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🙄

Pagamos $30 por comida que no disfrutamos al 100%, pero supongo que eso es lo que sucede cuando pruebas lugares nuevos.
