El Rey Del Taco — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

This place usually has pretty good/decently priced food. Until My friend and I went yesterday, 1st.. i asked the waitress if there was somewhere i could change my 2 year old daughter. She stared at me as if i asked her to take a whiz on the table then told me umm.. no (along with a you should know this look on her face)

My friend ordered cheese enchiladas.. and they were horrible. Very bland and sloppy looking as if they were thrown together.. there was also something crunchy in them.

After walking by our table at least 6 times without so much as asking how the food was.. but clearly seeing her plate was still full...We flagged the waitress down and informed her the food wasnt good.

I can understand being busy and short staffed but there were all of 5 customers in there.. including our party of three.

After we spoke with her.. she tried telling us that she's been selling that meal all day and hasnt received a complaint yet. . Of course we told her that we would be her first complaint....

She reluctantly snatched the plate along with my friend's card and went over to the main counter speaking spanish very loudly. (She obviously wasnt happy) my friend had taken ONE BITE from her plate the entire time. We were taken back with the rudeness of the waitress.

She didnt offer an apology or offer to fix it and make her something else. nor did she act like she was going to take it off her bill.

After speaking to her co worker she came back and basically threw the check back at her with just a drink charged to her cc. She then turned and speed walked away with an attitude as if telling her she didnt like the food was an inconvenience.

Needless to say she didnt bother to wish us a good day.. or if we needed anything else.

Horrible service. . Never visit this place if you value customer service and want real value for her money.

Tip to the owner please hire ppl that actually want to work there and will demonstrate proper customer service to your customers. Mediocre food and horrible service arent worth the...

Brought my friend for her birthday to try this restaurant. Since we were new, we asked if we had to wait to be seated or just pick somewhere to sit. The lady didn’t speak a lick of English, good thing I speak and understand a little bit of Spanish. We sit down and the bring us Chips that tasted like they were cooked in old oil and no salsa. We finally ask if they have salsa and we have to serve our own. We get one of each salsa to try and they are all pretty damn gross tasting. My friend wanted Birria tacos which wasn’t on the menu, so when the lady who didn’t speak English came we asked if she had birria tacos she said one moment and left she came back and asked me what I wanted and I said chicken taco with rice and beans. And she left. Idk if she took our order or not because she didn’t write anything down. When we flagged her down we asked if they put our order in cuz we were gonna leave but they did and said it was done. Well if it was done why wasn’t it at my table? They brought my tacos no rice and beans and it was cold like it had been sitting for 30 mins. I asked for my rice and beans and they said mine didn’t come with rice and beans though I had asked for it. I asked for my friends tacos and they said 5 mins. They brought it out and her tacos were like warm, rice was cold. They brought me a side of beans and rice and I just told them to take it back cuz I didn’t want it. Chicken tacos were cold, the service was bad the rice and beans were cold. Hey asked if I wanted anything else and I said no. I asked to talk to manager they said they were busy so it would be a minute. 10 mins later they said the manager was gone and I can come back tomorrow if I’d like. I asked for the check so I can leave, and it took them 20 mins to bring me my check. The restaurant wasn’t busy it was us, and 2 other tables. Poor service. Poor quality food, I do not...

Poor customer service. Mediocre food. I had lunch here and this is how it went: The waitress was friendly yet not very attentive as she left my cup empty for some time. Her knowledge of the menu was vague and we ended up having to point at the item we wanted. After she brought chips we waited for sauce that didn't come . After catching her attention she informed us that the sauce bar is in the back. We brought sauce back to the table and realized the small plastic cups they had could barely allow you to dip a chip in it. Sauce was great though! Upon leaving we waited in front to pay for about 10 mins and the whole time a lady is standing right in front of us talking on her cellphone . I asked her if she could check us out and she responded in a rude voice "Your server has to check you out" and proceeded to chat on the phone. This place had maybe 2 other customers at the...
