Absolutely HORRENDUS customer service. We were a group of 6 with 2 kids and it wasn't a busy day. We came because we are from out of town and the people that were visiting like this place. We were fine and happy with service until the kids plates came out. We just let the server know that there was a mix up with the plain burgers that came with everything on them. She just took the plates and left without a word. Next came the adults food. One was the Chaba Cocktail that came out hot, soupy, and with only shrimp (which is advertised as a mix of shrimp, fish, octopus, and scalops)scallops. Server does the same as we tell her that it's not correct. We notice she is mad at this point and making faces. She then comes and slaps the next plates down and walks away. The "manager" steps in to see what us going on and politely tell her what we need for our original orders. Finally get our food but we're told that 2 of the plates would be taken off the bill. Had to ask twice to see someone that could fix the bill because our server wasn't showing up at the table anymore. The busser comes to retreat plates and to supposedly get someone for us. We haven't spoken to anyone rudely at all at this point. The person im with lets them kniw that we need to fix the bill and wouldnt pay for the incorrect plate that wasnt even consumed. He then proceeds to be condecending and rude by saying "thats not my problem and if you dont want to pay then walk out and dont pay". Had to myself speak to the "manager" again in Spanish to tell her what is going on. The final straw was that they still wanted to charge us for a plate that was discussed about before thinking we would just be confused enough to agree to it. All in all just terrible. Wouldnt recommend this place to even be looked at on the map. We never spoke to anyone there rude or mal tempered throughout the entire time. And yet we're met with nothing but utter disrespect and disconcern for ones...
Read moreI’ve only been here once and will never come back. It was some time ago now, (some time late 2023 or early 2024)but it’s still so infuriating! I had put in an order online for pickup for sopapillas and fried ice cream. I went inside to grab my food, signed the receipt and went on with my day. Later that night, I had a charge for Pueblo Viejo for $2 (turns out, the waitress who did nothing but grab my food wrote a tip in on the receipt without my permission. I had no clue you should cross out the blank space so they aren’t able to do that, but I shouldn’t have to. Just because you can take advantage of someone, doesn’t mean you should. And that’s not even the worst part!) Later, a notification for a transaction (for more money than I had in my account even though I used cash app to purchase my food so it shouldn’t have qualified for overdraft) was charged to my account from a gas station on south academy, but I was 45 miles away in Pueblo at that time. I’m positive it’s not a coincidence, but even if it is, she still stole from me and I could never get in touch with anyone to report her because the phone would just ring and the one time they did answer, they didn’t have anyone who was bilingual and I don’t speak enough Spanish to be able to fully explain....
Read moreI usually enjoy my visits here. Dinner last night did not seem quite the same a usual. I was unable to communicate with the waiter very well since I don't speak Spanish. So the night didn't start of as I wished. We came in to a fairly crowded restaurant. We were seated immediately. Before I got in my chair we has chips, salsa and bean dip. We were also asked what we wanted to drink. Shorty after that we were greeted by the waiter. He took our orders but I was unable to explain that I wanted both hot and mild sauce on my meal. Medium, half and half and both did not seem to make him understand. I agreed to the mild sauce, no heat, no flavor. The hot sauce can be very very hot at times. I should had asked for some on the side. The tamales were coated heavily in masa the pork inside seemed dry and lacked flavor. The enchilada tasted fine. I did not care for the taste of the ground beef used in the tacos. The plate was finished with a generous portions of rice and refried beans. I have been eating here for many years. I have always enjoyed the food and I know how it usually tastes. I wonder if they have a new cook. This has been my favorite place for Mexican food. I may have too look around a bit more to see what else we have...
